Okay, the child that went with me to WDW for my first trip ever was 5, and turned 6 while we were there. However...my 'oldest' child at the time was about 26!!! He didn't go.
DS was 4 years 9months old the first time we took the kids. I don't get people who say not to take babies/toddlers. Some of us are fertility challenged and have kids 10 years apart, like me!
my oldest was almost 9 months old for her 1st trip. She will be almost 5 on the next trip (Jan) and it will be her 7th trip. She LOVES WDW.
Her little sister was 7 months old, then again at 9 months old. This next trip she will be 17 months old. (I think her 1st ones will be easier then this next one.)
The first time we went to WDW, our oldest was almost 11, DS2 was 7, DS3 was 5. DD was three and stayed home with her auntie and cousins for the week. She had a great time with them, and we had a wonderful time at the World!
I voted other, as both children made their first trip while "in utero." DD didn't get back again until she was 18 months old; DS made his first trip at around the same age. I'm also fertility challenged and had my children 10 years apart.
