How old/young does one have to be to attend tea party at Grand Floridian?

I believe the ages are 3-10 years old. When I went with my DD, parents were not allowed in the room until the end (however you could view the party through glass doors). I was nervous about leaving my daughter, but the ration of castmembers to children was amply to handle everyone.

I would have loved to stay too! It looked like it was going to be so much fun! My DD has done the Tea Party three times, and always has such a great time! I was nervous the first time too, but she did fine. DH and I had a drink by the pool and then went to get her. The other times, we had lunch at the GF Cafe and just brought her back to our table when it was over.

This time, she's trying the Tea Party and Grand Adventures in Cooking! Sounds like so much fun!!!! Can't wait!

Assuming you mean the Wonderland Tea Party, sorry 412 month olds can not attend ;).

Our 4 yo did the tea party last May - and loved it. They allow the parents in to help your kids find a seat and get settled in. The organizers then politely encourage you to leave after a couple of minutes. When the party is done, parents are allowed in for a surprise, and to claim your child.

I'm not sure what they would say if you asked to stay in the restaurant during the party. However, once of the funnest things for our daughter was making new friends. If we were in the room she might not have done that.

If you really want to have tea with your daughter there is always the afternoon tea. We did that as well - and kids are allowed.

I thought I'd post info for all three of the GF's children's programs:

I just noticed that there is no age info stated for the Wonderland Tea Party. Very interesting. That info used to be posted before. I will send an e-mail to Guest Services to find out what the story is.

Thanks! Janet2k I'm interested to hear what they tell U!

Janet thank you so much for posting the kids activities!!!! My eldest son read it and now wants to do both Adventures in Cooking and the Pirates Cruise. I think I will book both of those for both my sons ages 5 and 9 during our July trip. I really hope they have openings being that it's so close.

Sigh......there are no openings for either the Grand Adventure in Cooking or the Pirates Cruise for the whole time we are there. The Polynesian Concierge said that they would keep trying for me. Apparently these book up 120 days in advance. Keeping my fingers cross and hoping for the best. I sure would appreciate some pixie dust too!! LOL

Guest Services responded to me the other day. The age range is from 3 to 10.

I am also pleased to report that Disney has added the age range for the Wonderland Tea Party to their official website. I don't know why the age range got removed in the first place (I'm sure it was just an oversight), but I am happy to see that valuable piece of information stated officially for all to see. I'll post here what is on the WDW website:
