How old were you when you had your children?

29, and 32.

A friend of ours asked me if I would consider being a surrogate for him and his partner a few months ago. I had to say no--I'm too old. Maybe a few years ago, but I am 43 now-can't imagine being pregnant.

i was 21, 24, 28 and just "acquired" 2 more teens and at 38!

all of my pregnancies were HORRIBLE (although i still LOVED being pregnant!). my sister had a hysterectomy and had asked if i would be a surrogate for her and her new husband. wow. she knew the HELL i went through! i felt like i knew if it REALLY came down to it, i would probably have done it for her. luckily for me, they divorced and she has been married and divorced 1 more time since then. easy out for me!
now i'm 38 and have a 6 month old granddaughter. every once in a while someone will ask me if i plan on having more kids. OMG i couldn't imagine going through another pregnancy at this age! i'll take in other people's kids and enjoy my granddaughter instead!

24, 26, and 36! And no, it wasn't an accident, and yes, all 3 were with the same dh.........For 9 years I said I was done, but dh finally talked me into one more!

26 and I will still be 34 when this one is born. (Does anyone else in my shoes think the pregnancy is WAY harder in the thirties?)

Nope, pregnancy was almost exactly the same as it was with ds12. Of course, none of my 3 were a walk in the park-9 mos of "morning" sickness, hospitalization for dehydration......

But having a little one is more fun now! I have 2 older kids to help, and I'm not so stressed about the little things, like a clean house. And money is definitely not as big a problem now as it was with the 1st two.

Right there with you! We dated in high school, married right after graduation, had DS32 the following year, then completed college before DS32 was in preschool. We were stationed away from home and it seemed like everyone we knew was doing the same thing. Thirty-three years later, we're still together and happy so it must have turned out okay in the end...
