How old were you when you first got married?

I was 22 when I got married. 25 when 1st DD was born. I wouldn't change a thing.

I was engaged at 20. Married at 22 in May of 99, DD was born when I was 23 in Oct of 2000. I wouldnt recommend a new house and a new baby in the same time period! That wasnt fun! Would I change it, looking back at the grand old age of 28 I was really young, But I had done my wild living and was ready to settle down. I joked with my parents that I was amazed I made it to 25 at the time. But the upside is when I am 40 dd will be graduating and the house will be a couple of years from being paid off if it isnt paid off early by then. We figured we will be broke with the new house (10 acres in the country what we always wanted) so why not just get used to it and have a kid on top of it?! But we did eat mac and cheese alot that first winter. WE had no idea how much the bills would be once you through in daycare, propance, electric, satellite tv, internet, etc. It does kind of add up!

that happened to us, wonder how many others of you out there were in the same boat? :rotfl:
We had just completed the battery of testing to determine which of us was infertile--no treatments begun yet, , we purchased a real 'fixer upper' (I'm talking a real dump, here)--we signed the papers & later that same afternoon got a call from the Doc's, I'm pregnant! :rotfl:
the old saying, new house, new baby! :teeth:

23 when we married, we are now in our early 30's. No children at this point.

How old were you when you got married?

I was 24 when I got married

And if you have kids, how old were you when you had your first?

I was 19 when I had my son, 23 when I fad my daughter

If you could do it over, would you do either of them sooner or later than you did, or would you keep it the same?

I would have definately waited to have my first chikd. He wasn't expected at all. I think I may have waited at 23 too, there are things would have loved to do but haven't done due to having children, like college (which I plan on doing when they are both in school full days.

I was 19 when I got married, we had our DS when I was 24.
We've been married 23 years!

I was 23 when we got married 14 years ago. We adopted our daughter when I was 34.
I wanted 2 kids by the time I was 30, but it didn't work out.

I was 18, DH was 19, when we got married over 27 years ago. I had DD when I was 21 and DS when I was 23.

Looking back, we probably should have waited a few years to get married, but, at the time, we didn't want to wait.

My life now is pretty good. Our kids are almost 25 & 23 and we're still relatively young (45 almost 46 & 47). We are in pretty good shape financially, we go on vacations pretty frequently, with and without the kids (more without, which is nice).

The first few years were hard, but we got through them, despite what a lot of people said and thought!
