We married when i was a month shy of 24. Right after college for both of us. Looking back, that's really young!!! But at the time, it felt right. I was transitioning to graduate school and moving so the timing worked out well to marry and he come with me while I went to school. We had been together since I was 19.
We are now 27 and 28 and have no children yet - not in any hurry. I just finished graduate school and we are enjoying being DINKS for the first time, working on our first house, paying down debt, and traveling some. Not to mention getting settled into careers. It was priority 1 for us to be financially stable before children and we feel that some debt needs to be paid down first before that is the case. We are in no hurry and might consider TTC in a few years. We DON'T regret this decision! Children any younger would have meant more financial hardships, I would had to put school on hold, and we would not be the kind of parents we want to be. If it happened today, we would be okay, we're just more comfortable having more savings built up first. =)
