How old to ride without Mommy?

We went to DW last weekend, and rode Barnstormer a few times. We have 3 kids, dd13, dd12, and ds2.5. The oldest was DYING to ride with the little one (she wanted to see his reactions :lmao:), but when we got to the front they told us he had to be with an adult.

What are the guidelines here? How old does he have to be to not need Mommy and/or how old does she have to be to ride with the little one? Does this vary on different rides? Just wondering how long before they'll be able to ride together.

I believe the rule is 7 to ride alone and 14 to ride as a supervisor of someone under 7. Hopefully someone will confirm.

In June, we tried allowing our 6 year old to ride with an 8 year old friend on one side of TSM. I was on the other side with MY (adult) friend. The CMs wouldn't allow my 6 year old to ride "alone" with an 8 year old even though we were in the same ride vehicle. I thought that was a little insane. But the rule is 7 and up to ride without an adult, and I believe they consider an adult to be anyone 14 and up.

This last summer, our 10 year old rode with our 7 year old on this ride. They are both very petite and the CM asked me their ages before allowing them to ride. They also rode Dumbo together after the CM confirmed their ages. HTH!

It is 7 and up to ride alone. Under 7 must be with someone over 14.

thanks for asking this! Now I know my older girls ( they are 7) will be able to do Soarin while mommy waits outside with the baby.

Keep in mind that you will not be able to enter the Soarin' queue, so make sure they are comfortable being that far away from you for that ride.

Yep this is the rule. We went back in May and my oldest DS turned 14 in feb so he rode with 2 littles and then me and DH rode with 2 kids each.
