I know this is one of those personal choice questions but I'd love to hear others opinion/experiences:goodvibes We leave tomorrow and MK is having a night EMH on the 26th open till 3am:thumbsup2 I would absolutely LOVE to be in the park that late but am not sure at all how DD will do. She's never been up past nine-although some nights it seems she's not the least bit tired. I just have that horrible "bad mommy" feeling about taking a just under two year old out past her bedtime. Like someone's going to turn me in or something:lmao:

Pesonally I'd stay out as long as dd was ok. Once she started acting up I'd call it a night.

I'm assuming you are going to have a stroller. If so, I would stay. She can go to sleep in the stroller when she has had enough and it might be nice for you and your husband to have some "quiet" time together.

We stayed as long as the adults could stay awake! My 22 month old fell asleep in the baby carrier (on my front) whenever she was done for the day. She slept there until we got back to the room and I put her in bed. Sometimes she woke and this point and was ready to go again, other times she stayed asleep. No one will "turn you in" though for keeping her out late. Just have fun! :rotfl:

I agree w/ this poster.

I remember we had MNSSHP and hrs were open to 12am. I was like NO WAY will we be staying that late. DSs were angels and happy and WAY past there bed time. I remember looking at my watch and it was 1130 and DS was still ready for more. I think its the rides and the atmosphere. Also he wasn't even cranky the next morning....nor did he sleep in. :headache: (mommy and daddy could have used the sleeping in) I do remember the next day he was out like a light in the stroller for his "nap", whereas other days previously he just skipped nap all together and STILL was good...huh I wonder if that's why we want to go back WDW produces angelic children in my family!:lmao:

I'm not one of those moms who must have their children in bed by a certain time. So I say go for it! I know that *I* personally could not stay in the park till 3 AM because I feel sick when I get tired....but if I could, then I would! If your DD is tired, she can sleep in the stroller. We usually stay in the parks till about midnight if they are open that late, and then by the time we get back to the hotel and get into bed, it's usually about 1:30. We have two DD's, ages 5 and 2. We've been doing Disney this way since they were small infants. Kids sleep whenever and wherever they are tired.....at least mine do anyways LOL.

My 5 year old stayed up to the very end of a 3am EMH at the MK last fall. I have pictures of him standing under one of those clocks on Main Street as we're leaving the park and the time says 3:05...not a soul in site. It was soooo cool. We took a long rest that afternoon so he'd be ready, and then we just hung around the resort the next morning to sleep in. He's a serious night owl anyway, so he thought it was great!

If anyone has the nerve to say something, just smile and say "we just flew in from Hawaii!! The time difference works in our favor. Mahalo!"

But seriously, I have a total night owl and sometimes get the look---oh well...dd is happy and we are too. Enjoy the night!

We always stay late and never have a problem with the kids. We are from the west coast and usually try to stay on are time, so 3:00 AM is only 12:00 for us.

We've never seen a person give a 'look' or say anything and we stay in the parks pretty late. The kids take great naps in the stroller during the day while my teens ride some rides, and the younger ones aren't cranky so we just go with the flow. I've seen a TON of kids out late at Disney though....it's vacation, our bedtimes are out the window LOL

When we go and stay for EMH, we stay as long as we can. If they started getting tired, that is when we left. I took their pajamas and changed them before we get on the bus.

We went to the MNSSHP and I told DH don't get too excited because DS will be crashing towards the end of the night. For a 11 month old he did really good. I felt a little guilty about keeping him out, but right at 11 he was sound asleep in his stroller for the walk back to CR. He went right to bed and popped up at 7am like nothing had happened. I would agree to just have fun. Love the comment about being from Hawaii, that would work great! Honestly, would someone have the nerve to say something? I might think those comments but would never call another parent out for being on vacation. Have a great time and worry about it when it happens.

Ditto. We took my DS to MNSSHP last Sept. He finally fell asleep in the stroller at about 10pm. We stayed 'til the very end.

I was "confronted" twice on our last trip! We fly in from the west coast so we gradually adjust to the time and the first few nights we let the kids stay up since it really isn't that late for them.. dd (2) falls asleep in her stroller and our ds(8) is a dream kid.. We usually always go in the winter so the park closes at 12am on its latest nights.. My dd is a real handful... just the way she is so I think that is why I had all the unwanted advice LOL :confused3
Just have fun! We plan to do lots of late nights in September since we would rather sleep in :)
