How often would you call for availablity?

Hi, so here's my question.
We are going to be at WDW Nov 1-5. We wanted to stay at BLT or VWL.
Both are booked. Since we can only have 2 waitlists, we have waitlisted a studio at VWL and a LV Studio at BLT.
We would be perfectly happy staying in a MK view or Std View at BLT as well, but I couldn't waitlist them. How often would you all call to check availabilty of BLT? I have called on Tuesday and Wednesday and have spoken to the same girl. I don't want to call back everyday and get the same person...I'd hate for her to think I'm obsessed.

Think you are obsessed? I'm pretty sure everyone at MS thinks we all are obsessed about where and when we want to stay at a DVC resort.

I know there are conflicting opinions on these boards about letting a WL do it's job versus calling MS regularly to see if something else opens. Maybe that's one of the reasons they putting DVC reservations online.

IMHOP, if you haven't done so, I'd make reservations for the same dates at another DVC resort and then just wait and hope for the WL to come through. You can check the MS website to see if your reservation changes to one of the WLs.

A Wait list for an MK or standard view at at BLT has a pretty slim chance of happening as there are only 10 percent standard views (they are booked first by BLT owners) and 20 percent MK views, the rest are LVs. That means you'll have a much greater chance for a LV. Besides there are probably dozens of BLT owners who have LVs that have wait listed for an MK or standard view. And these owners may have wait listed back before the 7 month period began.

We are booked for a savannah room at AK/Kidani. While normally this would be a great room but since it's just my husband and I going this time, I feel guilty about staying there without the kids.

The MS rep also gave us the same advice about waitlisting lakeview rooms since there are more. I'll keep trying to call on the MK and Std view to see if anything opens since I couldn't waitlist them.

I keep checking online too. Oh well..we'll be on a week vacation so I'll be happy about that

I think the LV BLT would be very likely since as they declare new units there is a lot of availability added.
call daily, it is not your fault that the new waitlist system makes no sense.

I called 3 times in one day last week. I am sure they thought I was stalking them. I was trying to add on a night to my trip in 2 weeks and I have holding account points. Well, on the third call my room (a standard view one bedroom at BWV) magically appeared!

I would call as often as you want! You never know

Last summer, I had the same problem. Could only WL two of the three BLT views so I called once in the AM and once before they closed to see if they other view became available.

It was opening weekend and I ended up getting a LV room but I did not hesitate to call since I was limited in what I could do.

I was also willing to go with BCV or a BW view room at BWV (had BWV SV room booked) so I had to call to check on those as well since I could not wait list either one of those.

With the two wait list limit, it certainly does force you to call if you have other choices that would be just as good.
