how often is parade canceled during MVMCP?

I know the parade and fireworks and outdoor holiday shows are not guaranteed and subject to change; however, I don't think weather is as severe in December as other months. So how often are the events of MVMCP canceled for weather or other? Just want a sanity check before I buy the tix...

I have been in very severe weather have yet to see them fully cancel the special event activities.

If it rains, there are several versions of the parades that can be run. Fireworks are almost never cancelled, but they may be delayed (especially if the first parade run is delayed)

For the stage show, unless there is continual rain, they will either run the complete set if the stage is dry, or they can run an abbreviated version which usually consists of just the final song.

Last year 1st MVMCP the 1st parade and fireworks went off but not sure if the 2nd parade did. We left right after the fireworks because we were soaked.

If major elements (parade, fireworks, shows) are cancelled because of weather, be sure to check with guest relations before leaving. They sometimes offer replacement tickets for another night as compensation.

The OP is correct that there usually aren't the severe weather conditions in December that would cause them to cancel the parade during MVMCP. I'm sure it has happened, but its very seldom.
