How often has your room been ready on arrival?

We have had our room/s ready every single trip out of 17-except every single time we have stayed at AKL. We even waited well past 5 once for a 2 bedroom suite and had arrived on DME by 12:30. I never really thought about it until our trip last month and sure enough, we waited well past 4. Is this problem unuique to AKL? Do other resorts have a better track record? In our experience, BC is batting a thousand and that is over quite a few trips.

In 13 stays, I think our room has only been ready early once. I remember checking in at about noon at Pop and our room was ready. We were pleasantly surprised. Every other time it's been ready after 4pm. No experience at AKL though.

Our only stay at AKL (March 2016) our room was ready upon arrival at around 1:00 pm. We had checked in on line and went straight to the room, by passing the front desk.

Out of 8 stays, our room was ready early only one time. That would be our first stay at All Star Movies back in 2011 when we got there at 12:30ish.
The other 7 that were not ready until sometime well after 3:00 are: All Star Movies (second stay there), GF, Poly, BC, WL, CR, and POP.

I was just at Kidani a couple weeks ago and got the text right after I checked into DME at 11:00am.

Our of our last 9 check ins, the room has only not been ready at the early time requested once. Most times we arrive at MCO around 9 am, and of those, only one time did I not have a room ready text before I got on ME -- and that was two weeks ago for our check in at All Star Sports. Our room was not ready until 4PM, which was unfortunate because my husband was sick and sleeping on one of the benches in the hotel lobby from our arrival there at 11 am until the room was ready at 4. When I talked to the Conceirge desk, they told me the resort was going to be at full capacity that night and they had almost 800 check outs that morning, and they would give us the first available room. It's the only time I have not been very happy with the check in process.

Wow! I guess we are pretty lucky. Out of all our trips to Disney, we have only had to wait until 3:00 once. Our rooms have always been ready early. We stayed one night at AKL last summer and our room was ready when we checked in around 1:00.

...both times we went we checked in at 6 am and had a room assigned to us directly.we did not use online check in on either visit.

Our room was only not ready once and that was because they were trying to accommodate our specific room request. I guess we have always been very lucky!

Of our many trips the room has only been ready on AM checkin a few times. It is always a nice surprise, but not usual

I can remember our room being ready only twice out of over 60 resort stays. Once was at CSR, the other at GF. As of late, we've been staying in a 2-bedroom at BLT and the earliest our room has been ready there has been 5:00 pm (and the latest was 8:45 pm ... we were not happy Disney people that day!).

For us, at GF, POLY,BC, our room is always ready when we check in. Usually arrive at MCO around 8 am, so by 9:30-10 after arriving at the resort and checking in our room is ready. Lucky I guess.
BUT- at AKL, we have waited every time except the most recent to AKL, last sept early oct 2016, until 4 and often 5-6 in the evening.

I think our room has been ready about half the time. That being said, we usually drive and end up getting to the resort early to mid afternoon. About the longest we had to wait was a trip when the text about the room came after 5PM, but it didn't matter since we were in MK having dinner anyway.

Once in maybe sixty five--seventy visits. I'm incredibly unlucky, it seems. The one time it was ready was beautifully timed though. I was hosting my best friend and her daughters on their first WDW trip. We arrived at 9:30 am to an awaiting 2BR villa. It was great to see the villa; which blew them away, get settled and then head to the MK. A magical beginning.

I would say about 50% of the time, it's been ready. It seems more recently (last five years or so) it has not been ready.

The only time our room was not ready, was when we stayed at CBR. Every other time, we've been able to check in early. Fingers crossed, we have good luck with this at the CR this trip.

On all or most of our last 10 WDW trips taken yearly our room has been ready on arrival and we're in the Board Walk lobby before 10 am. Sometimes this actually throws us off or plans because we'd rather drop our stuff this bell service and get to the 'ride' pictured below.

Stayed at CBR twice. First time it was ready but I wanted a different area so we waited. Second time it wasn't ready. Both times we checked in by 9 am.

When we stayed at the Poly we checked in at 10 pm and room was ready.

Checked in at BC around 2 and room was ready.

We have been down 3 times and the only time our room wasn't ready was our first trip at ASMu in a family suite. This past summer we were at BWV and we got the room ready text around noonish and when my DS and I went for his birthday trip we had our room ready text by 7am when I was still at work! (We didn't arrive until 1am to our resort!) That was awesome to look up on TP to see exactly where our room was and what our view was also!

Our room has always been ready early when we got there for the first 12 years. But the last 3 years it has not been ready & in 2015 still no room at 6:00pm. That was awful
