How often has the waitlist come through for you!!?

You mean I can wait list on any/all DVC's? I am in need to three nights during March Break and nothing available so she asked me which resort I wanted to wait list on. I said my home resort, which is BCV and probably will not come thru ... if I could have added all of the others I would take the days in any of the DVC resorts no problem.

Yes, you could have waitlisted for all the resorts, but you won't have that option after the new waitlist policy begins Feb. 1st.

I went on waitlists for Kidani 1 BR, Sav View (for 3 nights) on 1/23. Checked MS account yesterday 1/26 and it came through.

No one called me, nor did I get email. I logged onto get new 2010 point charts and noticed my vacation details changed and I now had my Sav View ressie.

only a member since 12/2007 but 1 for 1 so far.

4/17/08 booked a 1BR for 5/31/08 - 6/6/08 at SSR(only thing available), waitlisted at BWV or BCV.
5/15/08 waitlist for 1BR @ BWV Garden/Pool view came through.

Just got the ocean view hotel room for April 9, first night of our trip. They had us in garden view but luckily it came through!

Well I'm glad to see alot of waitlists coming through....I hope more people vote because I'm anxiously awaiting seeing the results all of you have had when I login to DVC. I'm hoping to see the change in my ressie . What are the odds 5 months out for BWV BV and BC studios(both) Great idea for the poll DebsHill Love it! MarkeyMouse.....I would say you have a better chance of getting a BWV BW view than standard and with BCV I was able to book at 7 mnths with no waitlist so I hope you'll be in luck!

Well it has worked 50% of the time (tried it twice) the only time it did was 1 day before our scheduled check in was for BWV week of July 4th 2007. Other was last year at Christmas did not come thru.

hey Deb when is your trip? I have kidani studio sav. view booked for june 25 thru july 7 and if my waitlist comes through that will come free here's to hoping they all open up for us.

The only reason we want to switch is because we're going for easter in 2010 and I can book our home resort for then.

We've had success 2 out of 3 times. Our first no-go was last year we waitlisted the week after Christmas for a 2 bedroom at either BW or AK. This year we're going the same week but are just getting a 1 bedroom and plan on waitlisting at BCV and BWV, I'm hoping our chances will be better since there are more 1 bedrooms than 2 (at least I think so).

We have always had excellent luck waitlisting under the old system. I am disappointed we can't do a day-by-day waitlist anymore...I can imagine the calls to MS seriously increasing.

We were waitlisted for June, and it just came through..yay!! Here was our strategy for a studio:

2 days at BCV ( T, W)
4 days at SSR (Th, F, S, Sun)

We waitlisted Thursday and that's it...when we booked all the weekends were available, assuming due to the point cost. So when Thurs became available, we automatically got that one day and just added Friday and Saturday...we are waitlisted for Sun right now, and switched that Sun to Boardwalk in case BCV doesn't come through. Seems a bit complicated to me and as if they are hoping to minimize waitlist as an option by making it more difficult. I can definately see DVC becoming more and more limited to your home resort....but you won't necessarily catch addonitis until you stay all over the world!

So, I think the waitlist works, but you will have to work harder for it!

2 wait lists so far. 0 success.

I just went on another one today. I booked a studio at SSR for 5/2-5/7 & waitlisted for BCV, BWV, AKV, or VWL. VWL would be my last choice (as much as I love it there) since I just returned from there & have another trip planned there in Dec. Watch that will be the one that comes through! Here's hoping the 3rd time is the charm!

I'm happy to report back that the 3rd time was indeed the charm! My waitlist for a 1 BR at BWV came through! Not sure if it was coincidence or not but it came through right after BLT ressies opened up (day of or day after I think). I'm thinking maybe people cancelled their BWV ressie in favor of a future BLT but no way to no for sure. However it happened I couldn't be happier. Best of luck to all that are still waiting.

I wondered whether my waitlist would come through after the BLT/Treehouses opening day..................no luck so far!!! Maybe after the 22nd Feb after more swapping round!! If I get what we'd like I will be giving up OKW for the treehouses and BCV for BLT!!!

I just wait-listed for the very first time today! We are booked for 2 nights in June at WLV in a 2-bedroom but then had to switch over to SSR for the last 6 nights. If it doesn't come through it will be ok as we also like SSR, but it would be awesome if it did!
