How often does Blizzard Beach close due to capacity

I called Disney today to book a cabana for Blizzard Beach for June 25th. When I went to make the reservation, the cast member told me that I would have to be at the park before 11, because if not, I run the risk of the park reaching capacity and being closed out. The whole reason why we were planning on renting a cabana is that we did not want to get to Blizzard beach until the afternoon, but be guaranteed to have a place for our stuff and a place in the shade. The park does not close until 7 pm that evening, and we were planning on getting to the park around noon, and then staying until 7, getting plenty of use our of our cabana and having a nice relaxed afternoon and evening.

My question is how often does the park close due to having reached capacity? I know we are going at a peak time, and it will be a Thursday, but do you think if I take a gamble and not arrive until noon that I have a good shot at still being able to enter with a group of 9 individuals? And even if we do get closed out, could we just wait until enough people left and then enter the park and use our cabana? (maybe playing a round of mini-golf to kill time?)

I haven't been to Blizzard Beach since 1996, so I'm not sure what to expect, any advice would be appreciated!

I'm going to watch your thread because I'd like to know too. I'm considering spending a day at one of the waterparks in August but would prefer to arrive later in the day.

In the dead of the summer (mid June to mid Aug), I would say nearly every day... but it will open up back later as guests weed out. The CM you spoke to gave you the right advise with entering by 11am...

At the current time, due to problems the the rehab of the Teamboat Springs area the capacity of BB has been cut from its normal 8,000 to about 5,000. So many days VB has been reaching capacity within two hours of opening. And since we get a lot of the "overflow", we have been having more closings than usual at TL.

At the current time it looks as if they expect Teamboat to be running about the beginning of June, which should cut down on the closings.
