Call to see if you have a pin code attached to your name?

I've only asked once, and in the same call I was checking on a AAA rate, too. If I didn't already get the pin-code, I probably would have checked again in a few months.

I only call when I'm actually ready to book; only then do I ask.

Somehow Disney has me under a couple a different emails (real, what I book my trips with, and junk where I receive newsletters and do my online shopping from) and name variations (maiden and married) and I receive some type of pin every year, but not always under the same name (if snail mail) and/or email. I don't want that to stop, even if I can't use 90% of my pins. lol. Paranoid, but I'd rather be safe than sorry in this case.

What I do, is book the trip I want. Then when I do that, I ask the question: "Are there any discounts available for me on this trip?" Heck, I've had "manager specials" pop up after I asked that question. I've never had a pin pop up, but I'm assuming it would if I had one. If there aren't any, I watch Mouse Savers (and pop in here) to look for codes and discounts. I don't have AAA, but I've never paid rack rate. I'll also look at Magical Vacations if I'm getting desperate.

BUT
we always seem to get the free dine bounceback each trip so that works for us!

We have also gotten upgraded at AKL to Savannah and that was a LOVELY surprise!!!

I have asked twice:

when I made my reservation
when I called back to apply payment

I will ask again the next time I call to make a payment, which will not be for a loooooooong while

I'm just finding all of this so interesting. Just when I thought I had most of the travel deals figured out! But I didn't know about pins at all (having never gotten one).

We usually go every year during FD and then, b/c of the BB our dates are secured while we're there. But I've never known to ask about a pin (which wouldn't matter b/c for us the FD always works out best & they couldn't be stacked anyway).

But I was just wishing we could go this spring and started looking around for a great deal and discovered pins. Especially with the rumors of $500 gift cards and FD offers I wanted to know more.

So I've called twice (once to see about ressies w/a current deal/offer) and once just to check. Neither time was there a pin.

I guess we'll keep going during FD & BB and then, if Pixie dust comes our way and we get a pin once day, we'll go in the spring one year.

I call twice then I got it in the second call. We are happy to do our reservation after that.

The lady on the phone yesterday at Disney told me that every week a pin could possibly be under you name, it's very very often that they come out. Totally random, she said.
