How often do you weigh yourselves??

I confess, I'm a compulsive weigher!!

I know we really are only supposed to weigh ourselves once a week because weight fluctuates, but that just isn't enough for me!! I usually weigh every morning, and sometimes every morning and night. I get upset when I gain, but in a way, I think that is actually motivation for me (I know a lot of people get de-motivated by that) to step up my workouts or eat better.

I do notice that on days after days I don't workout, I tend to weigh more (but that may just be in my head :-))

So what works best for all of you??
 
I weigh every morning and every night. I also feel that it is more motivating for me. At night, I have an idea of how things are going to look in the morning and in the morning, I know if I can have extra points or if I need extra minutes at the gym!

In the past I've tried just using a measuring tape~~that just didn't work for me. I even threw away my scale once, it was out of sight out of mind. I now weight every morning, that works for me. Everyone has to find their own motivation.
 

I weigh a couple of times a week... Lately that hasn't been very motiving :rotfl2: But new year... new me.
 
It's good to hear from other people that DO weigh every day, and it works for you!! I always feel like I'm breaking some "diet taboo," almost like cheating and eating a lot of junkfood!!! Now, I feel much better!!
 
I admit I weigh myself a few times a week but only take the official weights once a week (Mondays). It's just that the scale is sitting there staring at me in the bathroom every morning, it just wants me to use it! I sometimes will jump on the scale just to see where I'm at and if I need to do more or etc. It usually makes me work out harder!

I, too, am a compulsive weigher trying to break the vicious cycle! I try to weigh only on Saturdays, but usually sneak a weigh-in in every morning! And I drive myself crazy with it!
 
I have been known to put the scales in my DH's truck so I can't weigh myself every day. DH leaves for work before I'm even awake so it works for me perfectly. How do I have self-control to stay on a diet, but no self-control to stay off the scales?! I guess I'm an instant gratification kinda gal!
