How Often Do YOU go to Disney

Once a year 18-20 days, but with a 17 month gap between our first and second trip and currently waiting out 19 months between our 5th and 6th trip, due to having to change the time of year we go. I guess if we lived a little closer and could cut the travel costs I would rather go twice a year for 8-10 days at a time, but when it costs xyz to get there regardless of how often or the duration spent, more shorter trips just don't make financial sense (and aren't possible)

When we go in January, it will be our third trip in four years. We stayed off-site in 2010, stayed at POFQ last September, and we are still deciding where this January. After this, it will probably be another two-three years before we get back. We want to go to DL/San Diego and Hawaii in the next four or five years.

As my signature says at least 24 years. I'm originally from PA and we would drive down every year for our family vacation. Now that I live in NC, my parents drive to my place, spend the night, and we continue on from there. Mom and I have been AP holders for a few years now and we just recently bought into DVC so I don't see us stopping anytime soon. We might have to cut our 2x a year down to 1x a year once I figure out what to do after school, but I can't see us stopping anytime soon.

We go every other year.

DD and I did sneak in a mother daughter trip one year on an odd year though.

My first trip was 1988. Then every other year until mid-90's. Took time to. Do cruises. Go to college. Went back as a newlywed in 2001, with my whole family and extended family. :) Took my kids the first time 20112/2013, and next trip next year. As they get older we'll start doing other trips too.

From northern Illinois.

We're from Vancouver, BC, and this will be our 1st time (only 4 days to go!) How often we return will depend on how well this trip goes.

Hopefully things will go well for you and you'll become hooked like the rest of us. :goodvibes

We are from Ohio & go at least once a year! :) I met my husband 10 years ago and I think this will be our 13th trip together. I have been 2 times before that.

I'm just outside of Philadelphia, and I try to go every two years or so. I say "or so" because sometimes I just can't swing it financially.

From the other thread on the Budget Board:

I have been going about 3 times a year to WDW and DH comes 2 times a year with me. We go about 1 time a year to DL. We stay with my parents in FL (they live 5 minutes from WDW) and have passes to WDW and DL. We stay with friends in CA, but usually do a night at DL. Our friends also send us airline passes-so that is a big help too! Next year we may go less though. We want to go to Ireland and Yellowstone or an Alaska cruise! That will leave 1 week for WDW. The year after that (2015) we have more vacation weeks. Hope to go to D23 in CA.

Yes, we do go other places during the year too! I am a travel agent so I travel a lot.

It is just DH and I, from Seattle, we have been making yearly trips (though the month may change each year) since our honeymoon in 2009. We have friends who live in Central FL (one of them is a CM) which is why we are able to make trips every year.

We live in Pennsylvania and go biannually, once in April and again in October. With Easter being late in 2014 I'm bumping our usual April trip back into May. I'll turn 30 on that trip and can't think of a happier place to spend it! :)

2 times a year for the past 12 yeArs or so but took 2 years off a year ago when we had our second kido so he was at least 1 year old. This year we are squeezing 3 trips out of our dvc points. But from here on in at least once but hopefully twice if schedules allow for it as the kids get older.

We are from Georgia, and usually take one week long trip every other year, but we are able to fit in some extras when we have to travel for other reasons, like the last two trips we took to Disneyland, when DH had to be out there for work and we tagged along during a school holiday. We are also adding an extra trip next Feb for DDs Birthday, because of an unexpected school break and some great promo rates from Disney.

Once DD heads to college, DH and I plan to get APs and try taking several shorter trips during the "down" times, since we won't have to worry about school schedules. That is when I will hopefully be able to try out some of the special events like F&W, F&G, MNSSHP and MVMCP!

We're from Canada, and of late, we've been going quite a lot.

2005 was our first trip, in the spring.

2007, first week of December - in other words, Christmas!

2010, in October my husband got called down to Disney for a conference and I went with him. He got all nostalgic, so we packed the family up for a second Christmas trip that same year.

2011, my husband and I went down all by ourselves, to enjoy Christmas. The kids were busy and didn't want to come.

2012, Christmas with just the two of us again. It's becoming a tradition. ;)

2013... Work was stressful and he couldn't hang on for a full year. We bought an annual pass, and went to Disney in May. We'll also be going back for the first week of December (Christmas!) this year.

2014, and we're also booked for a week in April.

If my man decides to renew our APs, it looks like the two of us will be making two to three trips to Disney every calendar year from now on. It's his happy place!

Oh dear... I just realized we've been to WDW seven times, and we've booked two more trips!

Our current plan is every other year, and go somewhere else the other years. DH wants to go to WDW the most as he doesn't have to drive when he's there.

We last went in 2011, and we did go to Disneyland/San Diego in 2013, but the family is currently in agreement that shouldn't mean WDW has to wait until 2015. They don't feel like DL counts and are itching to go back to WDW no later than 2014.
