How often do you edit a post?

Quite a lot to my never-ending shame! But it's not what you think… a few buttons on my keyboard are loose and falling (yet to get that fixed) out so typos are common and sometimes embarrassing! And sometimes I'll hit the Post button accidentally out of frustration, leaving a half-ready post. In both cases, I correct said post asap to make sense, in one way or another.

Not very often, but when I do, it’s usually because I have noticed a misspelled word or bad autocorrect right as I click Post. I do read my posts right after I submit them so I can correct any errors right away. I am glad they allow us to make corrections.

I edit a fair amount. Mostly for typos, occasionally for rephrasing or adding a thought. I try to edit ASAP - I usually can do it fast enough to avoid the "edited" tag. It's very uncommon for me to edit a post more than 3min later.

If I happen to return to a thread where I posted something and notice a typo/missing words/etc. I always correct it so my remarks make sense. Auto-correct is annoying and generally inserts the wrong word, but means you have to go back and proof-read everything you typed. I belong to another site where you can't update your posts since people were doing that to make some argumentative comment and then later changing the context of what they wrote. I don't see the need to always 'quote' others when making a remark. If someone wants to change their context that is their problem, not mine.

Frequently. It alarms me as someone who wrote for a living how many mistakes I make now. "Their" instead of "there: seems to be one of my more common mistakes. Something I never did before I retired!

Not that often.
If I notice a spelling error I will or if I realize I forgot a thought I will.
There have also been a time or two that I realized my tone did not sound how I wanted it to so I switched up my wording.

I often type then instead of them or went instead of when, or something like that. Words that are close, but not the right one. Also when typing a thought, then no, let me change that, but don't completely erase the previous thought. So I have words just hanging without any flow to the thought.

Usually once, to fix typos because I type really fast and hit send and then either see it (or something autocorrected). Sometimes twice because then I'll notice a formatting issue, broken link, etc.

I will always edit if I see typos. Sometimes a years-old post will get liked and I click on it and will still fix it if there is anything wrong.

When I do edit, it is almost always just a few minutes after I posted to correct something or add a bit that I forgot.
