How often do you check for reservations

Long story short we had a BOG reservation made at 180 Days for a pre DCL short stay at WDW. We changed our plans so I cancelled the reservation, now we are doing a WDW MK day and I'm going to try to get a reservation for Aug 27.

Now I know reservations are cancelled all the time which leads me to the question of how often should I check. My thoughts range from once a day to why not just keep the page open on my computer screen all day and check every ten minutes (Im only half kidding)

Thoughts?

So funny. I have been trying to get a res for Aug 27 since 180+10. Haven't been lucky. But I did get one for another time during our stay. I checked several times throughout each day, and after a few days I was able to get a res. Unfortunatly I had to cancel that one, but once again after checking periodically throughout the day was able to get a new one. So don't give up hope. Keep trying.

Good luck. I hope it works out for you. Just keep checking. I have a feeling that when free dining dates are released many may change their dates. So there could be some more opportunities opening up for you.

How badly I want a reservation determines how often I'll check - from once in a while, to once a day to multiple times a day.

BOG is a very difficult reservation to get and since the 180 day mark has already passed and only have 1 night makes it even more difficult. Cancellations seem much harder to get as well.

I would keep trying for a reservation, but as a last resort you could try walking up. Some people have had luck doing that, but others have not. It depends on how busy it is. The night we were there, CMs were telling the many walk ups to check back later in the evening.

Another option is to have lunch there. BOG is a counter service at lunch time and reservations are not accepted. The menu is different than at dinner, but very good and you'll be able to see all of the rooms.

Good luck! :)

I currently have a Be Our Guest ADR for May 14th, for me and my mom that I made at exactly 180 days out. However, a couple of weeks ago my husband's boss changed his mind and decided to let my husband off so he can go with us. I have been checking online several times a day and calling early every morning trying to add him to our ADR with no luck thus far. We plan on just showing up early to see if they can add him and if not, then my mom and I'll be eating at BoG, while he grabs a pork shank at Gaston's Tavern.:rotfl: I intend to keep checking every day of course, but if we can't get him in, there is no way I'm giving up that ADR. lol
