How Often Do You Check For New ADR's Online

I am just curious as to how often and when you check for ADR's online once you are past the 180 day mark?

I have been trying(like many) to get an adr at BOG and nothing is available. I am not sure if canceled ADRs go into the system in the morning, evening etc. I usually check in the morning, but should I be checking mid-day and evening as well?

I check every day, multiple times a day. Yesterday I even called too, thinking maybe the CMs have more access to things than online (CM denied that this was true, but who knows).

I'm sitting at my computer for work all day anyways, might as well check a few times each day, right?!

Gotcha! Thanks Lastly, when you are searching for adr's do you just select "dinner" or a specific time(ex. 6pm)? I have noticed that when selecting dinner it may show me available adr's at ex, 7:15pm .. 8:05pm, but if I were to select,ex. 6pm, it would show me available adr's at 5:30pm

With the old system cancelled reservations went back into the system immediately. With the new glitchy system who knows, but I would check at all different times because I would guess it's supposed to be the same. You never know when something will show up. As far as calling the phone CMs see the same availability.

I've cancelled lots of ressies (ADR indecision, and we've moved our dates twice ha) and have been able to coordinate w other DISers - they have always released immediately. Just did 3 yesterday!

There's definitely a difference between the 2. If I try to make a breakfast reservation for Kona 11/17 for 4:

When I choose "Breakfast" the available times are 8:55, 9:15, 9:40

When I choose 8:00AM the available times are 7:45, 8:00, 8:35

I would try both options if you can't find what you want.

Another glitch in the system. The old system used to look I think several hours in both directions around the time you requested. Now...who knows what the system checks for...

To the OP, I would look online multiple times a day if I really wanted something. As others have said, it takes a little pixie dust and some patience, but ADRs do come open and hopefully you'll find the one you want.

Another known glitch is that the system has problems with odd numbered parties. So if you're an odd number (e.g., 3, 5), I would also look for tables with with the next even number (e.g., look for a table for 4 if you're a party of 3). The system doesn't always know that a party of 3 can be seated at a table for 4. Sigh...

I am looking for CRT for a party of 3 with no success. I have read that it is easier for a party of 4, but since CRT is prepaid will I have to pay if only 3 show up?

I keep up the dining page on my computer, and check every so often. It works, I got 1900 Park Fare dinner yesterday at a perfect time for our October trip. I search for dinner, it will tell you all the dinner times. Good luck!

I check multiple times a day....first thing in the morning, throughout the day and when possible, even late at night. I'm looking for a CRT for 3 people for dinner on December 1st. I already have mine but my friend wants to go as well so I'm trying to help her. It's annoying but I'll keep trying. On Monday I had a 5:25 show up twice and both times, when I clicked on it, it gave me the "Server Busy" message......SOOO frustrating!!!!!

Persistence definitely pays off. I have been trying to get a reservation at BOG for our trip late Dec/early Jan and finally found success today. I kept checking every day several times a day when Jan 2 popped up. I have noticed that reservations are being released as it gets closer to the date. Good luck.

I probably check at least 10-15 times a day. Trying to snag CRT for lunch and BOG for dinner on nov 3rd. I keep hearing persistence pays off so keep trying as much as you can! Good luck!

I sure do hope you are all right about persistence paying off. I just booked a trip for November and can't seem to get anything I want. Just keep swimming!

Definitely keep trying, we are goin in 2 weeks and I have been trying for the last week every day every hour. Finally something opened up yesterday, but I did make it an even number for our party of 7 used 8 and did put in specific times instead of lunch or dinner (wasn't getting anything for that). The system seems to look at your time and checks an hour before and after. Good luck.

I have been checking constantly for an "Ohana" dinner (earlier than 9:40pm!), and it paid off yesterday---- got an ADR for a 5:05PM dinner
on 8/29 !!

I've been trying for a BOG res. I check multiple times a day and also follow a "Cancelled ADR" thread for the month I'm going. I get emails whenever someone is canceling something.
When I check for the ADR, I check for "dinner" and also 4pm, because checking for dinner seems to check from 5-9 or so. I will also try to check amounts of people different than mine.
No luck so far, but I'm still hoping!!
