How often do DVC'ers use Mousekeeping?

Only because of illness did we have to call housekeeping.

1) I called to have a full cleaning after my hubby was sick for two days at SSR. They never billed us. Very kind of them.

2) WLV August 2009 my daughter was ill and running fevers and I called to have the sheets changed.(I told them I would do it but they insisted) Then after two visits to urgent care I found out she had pneumonia. She was sick in bed and housekeeping changed the sheets daily and gave her many towel animals and were so sweet. The staff was wonderful I kept going to Roaring forks for drinks and food. I can't remember her name but she was wonderful with my daughters allergies and getting special cereal from another resort/park. We had a wheel chair since she was so weak and I took a walk around the resort with her. Upon return they had a plush pluto and a get well card with refillable mugs, stickers and fun stuff. She loved it and it made staying at the resort and relaxing a little easier. We also borrowed movies too. I full well expected to pay for the extra service but was never charged.

No toiletries..... I will miss those mickey shampoos and soaps
I was excited to find my favorite Mickey Toiletries in the gift shop when last I was there.

I know I am in the far minority. But I looooooooooooooveeeee housekeeping at hotels most of the time. There is a reason I don't camp for vacations, if I am cooking and cleaning and washing dishes all the time, it just doesn't feel like a vacation. So I do miss it at DVC, but I also want to stretch my vacation dollars so I don't get mousekeeping to come extra.....maybe one day....
Me, too...we really enjoy the $0.00 on our bill at the end, but it was one of
the things that I bargained with my DH when we joined that we could call Mousekeeping "if we really wanted to treat ourselves."
