Since I don't know where you live or your standards for a vacation... here's a verrrrrry general guess:
Flights: $400/person roundtrip (based off my roundtrip tickets from FL to CA in March-$380/person) $800
Hotel: $90/night-$500/night I'm going to guess you want a Disney value resort which can generally run as low as $120/night. We'll say you want 3 nights. About $400
Tickets: Assuming you want one-park one-day (cheapest and lowest stress in my opinion) 3 days: $558.06 (found on the Disney website)
Food: Also depends on how hard you want to work. A "cheap" fast food meal in the park is going to run $10/person. Sit down meal is closer to $30. I'd recommend eating fruit/bagels/cheap stuff for breakfast. $10 in park meals for lunch and dinner and one "nice" sit down dinner. Breakfast: $30 Lunches: $70 Dinner: $100 =$200
800+390+560+200= 1850. I'd say if you have $2000 saved up you'll be right about on.
I round up so as to reduce financial stress. I'd say if you can find a cheap plane ticket, stay off property, and eat sandwiches the whole time you could get away with a vacation as cheap as $1600. If you really want to splurge you could pay well over $2500. It just depends on what you want!
Incidentally, the general rule of thumb that I've always been told is that a Disney vacation usually amounts to approximately $1000/person for a three-four day vacation. I'm impressed how that added up!
As has been said above, they vary greatlyyyyyyy! I would just go to the Walt Disney World website and take a look, there you can put in your dates, pick a hotel, pick part tickets and even look up flights and itll give you a great idea as to the cost.
I did a two-adults-only trip in May 2011, staying at AKL for 10 nights. The initial payment for hotel, round trip flights from Baltimore, and ten day park hoppers was $4600 and some change. We didn't do the DDP, choosing to pay OOP. We averaged 1-2 TS/Signature meals per day with a few snacks or CS thrown in. We're also pretty free with our cash when it comes to booze so, for food, alcohol, and tips, we budgeted $1800. All said and done, it went a little higher than that, plus there were a couple hundred spent on souvenirs and incidentals. It's very dependent on where you plan to stay and what kind of dining you'll be doing, though. The responses you get may be all over the place.
