We're staying at Royal Pacific Resort Universal for the whole trip. I am planning to go to WDW parks also. How much would it cost me to take the cab? Would it be better to take the Towncar or FL transportation service? Thanks for any infos or suggestions.

Anyone....? How much? cab..FL tour..Towncar...???

Our last trip we used FL tours to pick us up at the airport and take us to the YC where we stayed 7 nights. They then picked us up and took us to the RPR for our last 2 nights and then picked us up to take us back to the airport. I want to say our round trip was $90 and they charged us $30 to go from YC to RPR. We had a van as there were 7 of us and 2 needed carseats which they provided at no extra charge.
If you are going to back and forth to Disney a few times you may just want to rent a car for 2 or 3 days.

Thanks Deena. Thanks for replying. So from WDW to Universal doesn't cost too bad. How far in advance did you call FL Tours to take you to RPR? Is one day in advance ok do you think?

Hmm...Yeah that's an option to just rent a car for 2 or 3 days. I just have to figure out when I would need to rent it...from the Airport so I won't have to use the FL Tours and save me $90 or just rent it from the hotel and use it when I need it. I was thinking of even splitting our stay between Disney and Universal if I can transfer without too much hassle.

Thanks so much for the info and your suggestion. :)

We booked the ride to RPR before our trip when I booked the pickup since we new already we would be staying there for 2 days. I think splitting your stay is the best option. That way you could pay just the $90 to and fron the airport (ours was more because we had a van--towncars are cheaper but only hold 3 or 4). We did all of our Disney stuff then off to US/IOA for 2 more days. I wanted 3 there but the only discount flight we could get was 7am. We love staying onsite at US you cant beat the FOLT express entrance. And staying onsite both places you dont really need a rental. Check Expedia they are having some summer specials with room and tickets.

It's raining here today, and out of boardom, I watched some vacation planning videos. In particular, I was watching the Universal Orlando video, and the girl mentions they provide transportation to other Orlando attractions, including WDW. (It's showing people getting on a bus in the background). I know we took a bus to SeaWorld - of course you're on their return schedule then.

Nothing is mentioned if there is an additional charge to WDW- might want to check with the hotel.

Mears has a roundtrip between Hotels and Universal and hotels and WDW for $11.00 per person.
