How much water do you drink per day?

Roughly 148 oz a day. I spent 12 years in the Marine Corps and of course staying hydrated was a must. although I'm older and no longer in the military, I will down a 32oz water in the morning and then again at night every day of the year. It's a habit I haven't broken. During the day I typically will drink from a 64 oz water jug I keep. I drink at least 1.5 of those per day and oftentimes 2 of them.

Gallons, I always have a glass handy, unless I’m drinking unsweetened iced tea. I’m pretty sure a bit too much.

No idea. Never measured.

4 glasses with 14 ounces in each for a total of 56 ounces. I make sure that I drink that much at least.

A year ago I was not keeping track of drinking water and ended up extremely dehydrated. That makes something called "blood sodium levels" to drop. Mine dropped to the level that it was a few degrees from fatal. Found in my apartment incoherent, seeing things that were not real and not knowing why I was sitting in a power wheelchair or how to use it. Spent a week in the hospital being slowly rehydrated and then three weeks in rehab.

Public service annoouncement: DRINK WATER!

Yup, no idea here either, never saw a need to keep track. Drinking excessive amounts of water is NOT a healthy thing to do. Unless you have a specific medical condition, constantly drinking water is not a good idea. Water intake also include the various foods you eat, not just water from a glass.

120oz.

Tell me why though that because I have vasovagal syncope my doctors tell me I'm not drinking enough water...

that's not totally accurate.

Yes, you can definitely drink too much water and it can have negative affects and even deadly if you drink waaaaay to much. But to say constantly drinking water is not a good idea isn't accurate. There's a difference between sipping on water constantly throughout the day and chugging water not stop. Your water needs depend on your diet and activity level and many other factors (environment, etc)

In general they will say drink 2/3 of your weight in oz. So if you weigh 100lbs (easier math) then drink 66oz a day. Also women and men have different requirements.

Another way to tell if you're hydrated or need more water is your urine. Yea, sounds crazy, but colorless or light yellow and you're fine. FYI if it's super dark then drink some water, LOL Brown is not good.

:drinking1A minimum of 2 litres plain or carbonated water, in addition to a lot of black coffee and the occasional glass of wine.

I drink regular water like a 🐳Dad is doing his best to drink more, too as he needs to remember to be more hydrated. He enjoys flavored waters, plain H2O for me :)

I drink at least a one liter bottle of seltzer and another 48oz of flat water (sometimes with an electrolyte or other sugar free flavoring packet) during the work day alone. But I work in a warehouse so there's no air conditioning and it has been extremely hot the past couple of weeks.

From breakfast to bedtime I generally drink about 40 oz of a form of water a day. Be it as 99.9% in my almost constant unsweet Iced Tea, other water based items or just plain water. I drink when I'm thirsty not when some CEO of a bottled water company tells me I should. It is possible to over hydrate too. How did any of us survive not carrying around a 55 gal. drum of water at all times. Quite the conundrum me thinks.

I'm sure everyone knows that water weighs approx. 8 lbs. per Gal. That weight shows up on a scale when we check it. If you wonder why you don't lose weight even though you exercise constantly, it might be because fat cell are natures water little tanks.

A minimum of 64 oz a day. I only know this because my drinking glasses hold 16 oz and I have a full glass with each meal. I also have at least 1 or 2 full glasses throughout the day.

Fellow Jarhead here, be careful drinking all that water as you get older.

Over hydrating can cause a condition known as hypervolemia which can lead to hyponatremia and I promise you don't want either of those..

Do you remember the "charts" above the urinals? LOL

Yes, you CAN drink too much water, but even at older age it's still hard to do.

We still have those charts at work 😂🤣

Unfortunately I have drank too much water and am currently undergoing a whole lot of medical exams to make sure I haven't caused any permanent damage. That's the only reason I mentioned it.

Usually none, unless it's what I get in my morning coffee.
Same here. And I don't always have coffee. Sometimes I will make myself drink a whole 16oz bottle of water in the morning when I take my medicine. Occasional can of seltzer water. But no danger of me drinking too much water.
