We are having our basement finished, and the man who is doing our drywall, in conversation, asked my DH what we were doing for furniture. My DH went on to tell him that we found a sectional at Costco, of all places, but we are figuring out how to get it home. The man offered to pick it up with my DH in HIS truck on Tuesday when he's done sanding.
How much should we tip him for the use of his truck and his time?
Gas-wise, if he uses $3 in gas I'd be surprised. Costco is about a mile from our house. The thing is, it comes in three big boxes, and they will need to make two trips. I'd say in total, a half hour of his time.
$15? $20? More? Less? FWIW, the man is a co-worker of DH, not a stranger.
