Hi, Can anyone tell me how much $$ I need to tip for the REAS massages? And do I tip cash or add to seperate bill? I am confused!!!
Thanks
Jamie

based on these boards, it would appear that the "Value" of these massages are $89 each. You will not need to have cash. They will provide you with a slip to sign to verify that you had the massage. This slip will say that the price of the massage is $89 even though you are not being charged. I believe you would have the opportunity to "add" a tip onto this slip which would then be billed to your stateroom.

Many people tip 15-25% for spa type services depending on how personal or personalized the service is.

so, for the couples massage do you think $40 between my DH and i would be appropriate? i hate to appear cheap :)

My husband and I tipped each girl $15. You just write it on the slip you sign. I personally think $20 each would be too much, that's like over 20%! Enjoy your couple's massage, we loved ours!!

thanks everyone...so anywhere between $15-$20 per person is ok......$20 if the massage is REALLY good.
4 days to go!!! YIPPEE

Do you have to wait until you are onboard to book these or is there a way to do it ahead of time?

you can book the REAS package through DCL or your travel agent
REAS= Romantic Escape at Sea
this is information that my TA sent me when she booked for us:

The REAS is $339 for 2005 sailings. It can be added to the reservation at any time, but payment is needed at the time of booking if the reservation is already paid in full. The package includes dinner at Palo (with advance reservations), romantic turndown service performed while you are having dinner at Palo, champagne breakfast in bed (scheduled once you board the ship) and a spa treatment from a selection of two. The spa treatment choices are a 50-minute couple's Well-Being massage with aromatherapy oils or a combination treatment beginning with a 25-minute couple's Spa Taster (back of legs, back, neck and shoulder massage) followed by a 25-minute facial booster. You will also receive a gift basket that will be waiting in your stateroom when you board the ship.
Disney will book your reservations for brunch and tea at Palo as a courtesy. The service charge for these meals ($10 per person for brunch and $5 per person for tea) is not included in the package price.
You are able to request a dining rotation but they do not guarantee it (the likelihood that you will get it is good, but not guaranteed.)
I can always let them know that the Palo request is specifically for a night that you have a particular restaurant so that if the rotation is different it can be adjusted.

we tipped $25 each since the couples massage was $242 and I wanted to tip 20%. As far as the restof the package-I found that our $20 service fee for Palo's was included. at our dinner it was listed on the bill and we paid it along with our drinks and tip. The last day I received our statement and there was a credit for $20 and I asked the guest services and he said it was for the fee for Palo's that it was already included and shouldnt of been charged again. :confused3

The couples massage, if they weren't part of the package..more than $89 each.

I think $50 would be the minimum I would tip if you enjoy the massage..total. $25 for each.
