How Much to Tip for a Puppy Clip?

My puppy is getting her first haircut tomorrow, well it's not really a haircut, it's just a bath and cleaning up her face and paws. And I wondered how much I should tip, is it like a percentage thing or what?

I'm a dog groomer, it seems like $5.00 is a pretty standard tip, unless the pup is a big hairy monster and the grooming is well over $50. It may not seem like there is a lot of work involved in a puppy clip, but first time grooms take lots of extra time to make sure the puppy is not traumatized by anything, i.e. bath, noisy clippers, hair dryer, etc. We want the puppy to enjoy his or her grooming experience and day at the spa, it will make a difference for the rest of their lives, Most of our guys come in the shop head up and tail wagging, cuz they know they're going to get pampered. Fun for us, fun for them.
