How much to tip DVC mousekeeping?

We are soon off on our first visit as DVC members? Just wondering how much to tip mousekeeping? Is it the normal $1 per person per day?

Any help is much appreciated!!!

We tend to leave $4-5 per clean throughout the stay and $10 at the end.......for the two of us.........but it really is up to the individual.

Claire, we've left different amounts depending on whether it's trash & towel day ($2) or full clean ($4) and what size accommodation we've been in - the amounts I have listed are for studio, but we tipped more the time we stayed in a 2 bedroom

I also agree with Gill though, it's up to you (I look really mean compared to you Gill!)

Unless you're there for the trash and towel and/or the full clean, I don't see the need to tip at all. For example, we just spent 3 nights at SSR followed by 3 nights at BCV and didn't receive either service, so for what would we be tipping? We made our own beds and kept the place clean ourselves - no maid service.

When we stayed at a Studio at SSR in August, we tipped $3 for the trash and towel service and $5 for the full clean.

We rarely stay long enough for T&T, let alone full cleaning ! Consequently, we tend to leave just a few $$ (for 2 of us) when we check out, the same as we might leave on a day-to-day basis for housekeeping in a regular hotel.
