How much to groom a dog?

My Westie costs $47 for the whole kit and kaboodle (bath, cut, teeth brushing, nails, etc) and then I usually tip $10. I tried 4 different groomers of varying costs before I found someone who could correctly do a Westie pet cut. I would gladly pay more for a proper grooming rather than saving a little money.

My groomer charges about $50 for my small 45-lb standard poodle, but she only does a very simple cut (and usually shaves her down because I wait too long between groomings). If I wanted to get a fancier cut I would have to pay a minimum of $75 so I get what I pay for I guess. My 10-lb Maltese mix costs about $40.

We have a Husky-Terrier mix, so she is a bit smaller than a normal husky, but very hairy and sheds constantly. It cost us about $60 for a wash, brush, teeth and ears, more if we have her brushed more or de-shedded.

oh my.... all of this is making me glad I just cut my poodle mix's hair myself.... She is sometimes a bit lopsided, but it doesn't slow her down! I just shaved her down this past week.... since she's about 8 pounds it doesn't take me long, I just watched a few youtube videos,and give her the 'puppy cut'....it always amazes me how fast that matted hair can grow
