Depends on how you want to eat. TS, CS? How many times daily? Will you be on the dining plan? Do you have the tables in wonderland?

We do not have TW. We would have two meals a day. Mostly CS.

There's a website that has menus from all the different WDW parks, so you can get an idea of the different prices at different restaurants. I'm not able to post links yet, but if you Google "allearsnet "Menus from Around the World"", you can get an idea of how much food could cost you.

If you're staying at an on-property resort, it pays to purchase the refillable mug at your resort!

It totally depends on where you eat, how much, do you share, sodas, snacks, alcohol. Allearsnet dot com has a great area with menus. :thumbsup2 I am a huge sucker when it comes to the treats like Mickey ice cream bars and the like and seem to always forget them in the budget.

I just noticed that this forum also has a link to menus, at the top of this forum's page: Walt Disney World Restaurant Menus and Prices by WebmasterCorey!

after figuring and figuring all discounts and free dining and buying own food for 62 trips have came to conclusion that we only go when free dining is offered. we like the CS and we like the TS so if we stay at a value resort we upgrade from QS to MYWD that way we can do nice dinners or take two TS and do a signature meal or do character meals so whatever works for your family. before we did this we allowed $100 per day each adult for food and shop:thumbsup2ping.

We are out of pocket people.
We have 3 adults, DH, DW, DS age 20 & DD age 17 who does not eat a lot.

At CS we estimate $15(or less) per adult and $10 for our DD (she does water, not soda) so for each CS meal = $55

For TS - average per adult would be $40 (maybe a bit over) so for us all over the children WDW age, per TS meal = $160

We do breakfast in the room - so costs maybe $10 for milk and extra's. We do a car service to our resort with a food store stop, and buy granola bars, cereal, fruit, water bottles & paper goods.

So for us, per day = $200 to $230
More than likely it will be $200 or less - but we over budget.
We set up $250 per day and then there is extra money for snacks, DH coffee, and souvenirs. :goodvibes

For 4 adults per the meal plan (TS, CS & snack) would cost us $200 per day. It includes dessert, which we usually never order. :)

I just came back today. I was with my husband, teenage daughter, and a child. I would say I spent around 200.00 a day on just food. The sitdown meals with tip ran 168.00. We were there 2 weeks so after a while we ate a couple dinners off property. This usually goes against my rules but I will say it saved alot of money and the food was good. We went to Outback,Cheesecake Factory and ate like kings for half the money. Each time I paid the dinner bill I thought of all the groceries I could buy for the month. I guess when your in Disney you have to overlook this.
