Hello everyone!

You all have been a huge help but I have one more question.

We are headed to DLRP next weekend!!! :woohoo: We are staying at the Cheyenne for 2 nights and got the premium meal plan so we have 2 dinners covered. We are a family of 4, we have 2 DDs ages 8 and 4.

How much would be a reasonable amount to budget for food for the rest of the trip. We want to eat inexpensivly.

Also, what type of snacks do you bring for your kids in the parks?

Thanks!!

~Sheryl, who can't wait to head to DLRP on March 22nd!

i would say allow round 40 euros for a family of 4 for snack type meals.(per day) We went half board for the main meals. We also the took small packets of biscuits and crisps to snack on in between. The croque monsieur from victorias home style on the corner of main street is gorgoeus and costs a bit less than 6 €, also taod hall fish and chips meal with tomato soup and drink was great for 10€.hopes this helps you

We allow €10 per adult and €8 for kids for lunch per day and €5 per person for drinks and snacks per day too.

If paying for dinner we allow €30 per adult and €10 per child and we never go hungry or thirsty

wow these are the types of things I need to know for our upcoming trip....good priced meals for the day time. Was this meal at Toad Hall recent?

Toad Hall do really good value meal deals :goodvibes We discovered a deli/sandwich place in the village too which does great baguettes with chips and a drink for a really reasonable price too, would really recommend them as they are usually big enough to share !

Do you know the name of the deli/sandwich place? I'm trying to get a list together of the most reasonably priced placed to eat so we know where to go in the day time.

Another thumbs up for Toad Hall from me too - the fish and chips 10euro meal deal is big enough for me and DD to share - very tasty and very filling :thumbsup2 .

I remember there being a shortage of fruit generally around DLP last time we went so am planninh on taking some with us for my little girl who I'm pleased to say will happily munch her way through mountains of satsumas and pears.

Also planning on take these Choc/Yoghurt bars that she has at home (nemo/HSM ones) for snacks as well as crackers as she loves these too with margerine on them or meat (from breakfast of course).

I think it you take snacks with you then it will save money whilst you are there. Also there is the train station which sells water cheaper then in ther Park itself.

Wow you are all so quick with responses! :)

Thanks a lot for the great info. I'm going to show my husband when he gets home later tonight. We are brining 450 Euros for the 3 days and that money has to pay for tolls and gas for the trip as well. I was hoping it would be enough and it sounds good! :rolleyes1

Thanks again everyone, you never disappoint! :cool1:

I really can't remember what you call it but you can't miss it, it's right next door to the Sports Bar in the Village about half way up. There are seats both inside and out.

I like what you said about taking fruit, I always end up craving fruit by the time we get home !!

As dd is quite young I always take a couple of non spill beakers with me, one containing juice and the other to use to mix the juice with water - it saves a little.

Have fun planning your trip :goodvibes
