How much time to eat at Chef Mickeys?

We have a PS for Chef Mickeys on 10-18 at 7PM. Just read on the Theme Parks board that hours at MK are now til 8 PM with fireworks scheduled. (Originally supposed to close at 6) I know it's probably cutting it too close, but does anybody think will we finished in time to catch at least part of the fireworks? Thanks for your help.

Sorry, you are cutting it too close. Just because you have a 7PM PS doesn't mean they will seat you at 7PM, CM is busy and you might wait a bit. Plus, I am sure you don't want to "wolf" down you dinner!

Can you change the PS to another day? or make them for after the fireworks? The fireworks should only last the most 20 minutes and you can walk over to the CR to CM.

We really wanted to eat there our first night so I don't want to change the date It's not a big deal if we don't get to see them, I just thought it would be kind of fun to go up to the roof or wherever you can watch from the CR after we eat. Eating after wouldn't really work either because my kids are younger and I wouldn't want to eat that late. I may try to go for an earlier time though. Thanks for your input!

Book your dinner for an earlier time. We had PS for Chef Mickey's once and we got to see the Fireworks before our dinner on the observation deck. It was a great addition to a great meal. You have an awesome view of the fireworks from there. Enjoy!

Chef Mickey's is our traditional first night meal, then we hop on the monorail and head into the Magic Kingdom for a few hours.

The two most recent trips, we did PS's at 5:00 and 5:15 and got up on the monorail platform at 7:00 the first time (extremely busy, and 1/2 hour wait for table) and about 6:40 the second time (no wait for the table). I'd allow two hours for meal and wait and suggest an earlier PS. If you can't get one right now, call the day of. We'd had an 8 o'clock the first time and couldn't get earlier prior to arriving in FL, then the first thing I did when we got into the room was call 55 and got a PS for 5:45.

This is so funny. We decided last minute to go to CM we called at 5:37 and the only ressies they had was for 5:45 and 9:00 so we said we will take the 5:45 pretty brave . We literally ran to the monarail. We were at the Poly. Got right on the monorail got to CM by 5:55 they still took us because there was a line. I think we sat down by 6:10. We were done at 7:30. We hopped on the monorail went down to Epcot for Alluminations. It was great so if you miss the fireworks at MK. Head down to Epcot to see there fireworks. We did that on our first day also. Have fun
