How much time to allow for drive to MCO from Disney?

We're going on a short trip in mid-September and will be returning home on a Wednesday afternoon around 2:00 p.m.
We will be renting a car for our stay.

How much time should we allow to get to the airport, return the car and leisurely check-in? We are definitely not the 'harried' traveler types -- I'm always much more comfortable being early for my flight. But, on the other hand I don't want to give up Disney any earlier than I must.

There is a 30 minute drive time to MCO. We leave WDW 2 hours prior to our flight. If you rent from an on airport agency, there is very little turn in time. Then you just walk across the street to the terminal. Add more if you rent off the airport for bus in time.

Then we check our bags, and get a bite to eat before the cattle call (boarding call).
