My daily calendar included the following "fun" fact:

The average U.S. adult spent seven hours and fifty minutes each day viewing digital content in 2020; it was the first year in which that number surpassed the amount of time the average U.S. adult spends sleeping each night, which is about seven hours and thirty-six minutes.

Apple tracks screen time across devices, just counting my phone, ipad, and computer Apple says I consume for 8h 9m on average each day. I also watch a significant amount of digital content each night, an additional 2-4 hours, though there is some overlap as I am almost always on my ipad while the TV is going.

Daily average on my iPhone shows as just over 7 hours. During the work day, I'm on my computer the whole time, but as far as digital content (non-work), that's usually limited to my lunch time, when I'll watch a YouTube video or two while eating. Not sure if TV time at home would be considered digital content or not.

Too much!

I'm on way too much while my son is at school. I'm such a bad "housewife." Ha! I'll pop onto the Dis or social media between doing things around the house or running errands. Sometimes I get sucked in for way too long.

I also go on the computer to do bill paying and financial tracking stuff if that counts.

And I use messenger to chat with my mom and sister a lot.

I also watch things on streaming services if that counts.

I read about various crimes and follow a lot of trials as well.

Oh, and lately I've been playing the Sims during downtime. It relaxes me.

If I had to guess, I'd say at least 7 hours of my day is probably spent on some kind of device.

If you add in streaming music or podcasts then it would be WAY more because I pretty much have something on during all waking hours. Even when playing with my son, we have music on a lot of the time.

8 hours a day less than I did working as my job required me to be on Twitter, Facebook, and various Law Enforcement agency dispatch websites my entire shift.
I am probably viewing digital content more than I think, I'm guessing 6 hours a day in retirement. Almost always on my desktop computer, while I do have a tablet. I rarely view digital content on my cell phone.

Waaaaaay too much, I look at stuff online recreationally, and I stare at a computer a lot for work as well.
