I have decided to book cafe mickeys on the day we arrive. We arrive by Eurostar at 12.30pm and was wondering how much time we should allow to get off the train, walk or shuttle to Hotel new York and check in. I thought of booking for 1.30pm. Is an hour enough time?

Thanks

In theory it should be enough time - the train station is right by the park so it takes literally minutes to drop of your cases and get to the park gates. However, when are you travelling? The Eurostar times have been changed at the moment, because of an incident in the tunnel, and our 1230 arrival was moved closer to 1pm. So I'd probably be tempted to eat later, around 2 or even 2,30, in case your train gets moved back.

Oh, I just re-read yours post - it seems as if you don't have Disney Express booked for your luggage? If you can get that as an option then it saves you some time, but Hotel New York is still only about 5 minutes walk from Cafe Mickey, and Cafe Mickey is about 5 minutes walk from the park.

Thanks Tinkjon,

We tried to book Disney Express (twice actually, have called back incase the person on the phone was incorrect) but we are not allowed to use this service apparantly as it is only for UK residents travelling by Eurostar :confused3 . I did try to find out if once we get to the station if we can go to a counter and drop our bags and pay but noone seems to know if this can be done.

Anyway, I have checked on the Eurostar website and it does say that our train is now leaving earlier but has 12.30pm as the arrival time. As we have never been to Disneyland Paris before, I just can't visualise the station and locations of the hotel or anything so I just didn't want to make a reservation for 1.30pm when realistically we have no hope of getting off the train, taking our luggage to the hotel and checking in and then making it to the restaurant.

As we are not going to the park on the day we arrive I thought it would be fun to have a character meal first off, maybe I might be best to make the reservation for dinner and do lunch there another day.

Aussietraveller are you me.

We too arrive at 12.30, staying at Hotel New York, was not going to go to the park the first day (but I want to now), and wanted lunch at Cafe Mickey. I was not sure what time to eat though. We have to young girls that will be hungry, so thought maybe they could have some kind of snack on the train to keep hunger away. Maybe about 2 for lunch.

We will be travelling fairly light, so thought that we could maybe take our bags into the restaurant. I am not sure how far the hotel is from restaurant, but know that from the train station at most maybe a 10 minute walk to the restaurant.

What is Disney Express???

I too have been told to check the train times before you travel as they have been leaving early.
