Its our first trip to Disney in September, I am trying to decide how many days we need..bringing along the 10yr daughter and 5yr old son..I was plannin on arriving on a Monday, Leaving on a Sat. that would leave 4 full days at the parks. Do I need another day for water parks?

:confused3

I always recommend staying as long as you can, and no less than 4 full days. Four full days will give you 1 day in each park. If you can add another day, you could go to a water park during the day and then to one of the parks in the evening, giving you a day and a half in one of the parks. With a 10 & 5 year old, their favorite will probably be Magic Kingdom.

NEED is such a subjective thing when it comes to Disney! Our first trip we had Sun-Mon (thinking it would be our only "trip of a lifetime":rotfl: ). Did just 5 park days (threw in SeaWorld) and had some down days. Our kids were younger then yours, though.

We have actually had 6 trips and not once made it to the water parks--not that we don't want to, it just hasn't worked out. Doesn't seem to be in the cards for us this year, either.

If you can add another day, I say go for it! But don't run yourself ragged your first trip! Swimming at the resort, mini golf, resort hopping to check out where to make your next visit:goodvibes , shopping at DTD are all great ways to spend some down time one day!!
