How much time do the planning sessions take? Were some of you there jus for a day, few days, a week? I just want to make sure we're giving ourselves enough time to see the locations, have time for a cake tasting, time with Florist, food tasting(if they allow this etc.). Any help on Planning Sessions I would ind greatly helpful. We also want to make sure we leave ourselves with a little park time too so our DS has a visit in before our VR(he hasn't been to Disney yet and DH and I never been to Disney ogether yet).

We are planning on a location where we can have an outside Photographer and Videographer(any recommendations for outside Videographer is greatly appreciated). We already have our Photographer in mind. Can you still do the MK & Epcot Photo shoot with heir Photographer, even if you're a DFTW Bride using an outside Photographer the Day of your Wedding/VR?

Sorry for all my questions. DH doesn't get that much time off, so we're having to base planning off of his Vacation time & Floating Holiday Time Allowance. Any help on this will be helpful. Thank you.

The actual planning session with your DFTW planner can take up to four hours. Often what they will do is schedule your site visits in the morning and your planning session in the afternoon (the cake tasting happens at the end of the planning session). If you want to do a menu tasting, they can squeeze that in between the two, but it doesn't have to all be on the same day.

For our planning session trip we arrived on a Saturday, did a hair & makeup trial + engagement photo shoot on Sunday, had our planning session on Monday, and went home on Tuesday.

Yes. :thumbsup2

Thank you, your replies are just too helpful and wonderful:)! I would love to use the same photographers you used, as they seem amazing to work with. I do have a friend wheom lives 2 1/2 hours south of Orlando whom we are going to use(I don't think we can have her do an E-session in Disney though with her cameras, unless it doesn't look like professional equipment. Please correct me if I am wrong, same with our Dessert Party, but she would be already on the guest list for the Dessert Party anyway), if not we know plenty of other guests will have cameras and will take pictures too).

Thank you so much for letting me know about the MK &Epcot Photo Shoot. That is music to my ears:)! I will have to fully check out your Wedding TR/PJ. I think I am going to have to use te same hair dresser that you used. She dd a fantastic job on your hair and make up. Thank you so much again. I do plan on purchasing and downloading your Wedding Guide on Passporter once I get my new computer.

Do they allow children during the Planning Session? After seeing the pictures of Lurkyloo's Planning TR, Im afraid to have our DS in Franck's. I think he may get bored during a 4 hour time span( may have to call in His Grandma to spend some time with him in one of the Parks and a Character Meal) while we attend the Planning Session.

If you don't mind my asking, how long did your trial hair and make up session take. I realize you have longer hair than I do, and I may need hair extentions for he style I love and have picked out from pictures unless she may have other ideas). Did she come to your resort for the trial run and how much extra was Otto have her do your hair for your MK & Epcot Photo Session? I'm sorry I'm asking so many questions.

I'm glad I can help!

She can do an engagement session with you around the resorts, no problem. :thumbsup2 The only place non-Disney photographers are prohibited is inside the parks.

Do they allow children during the Planning Session?

No. They are also not allowed at the tasting sessions. I think that would be an excellent time for the kids to bond with Grandma. :)

If you don't mind my asking, how long did your trial hair and make up session take.

A loooong time - maybe 3 hours? But that was because I didn't like the first hair style we tried, so Patricia re-did my hair as we talked through it together.

Yes, she came to the room. She waives her $50 travel fee for trial sessions, so that was great. I had her come to the room for the wedding, which meant paying the travel fee, but she doesn't charge an early-morning fee like some makeup artists do, so it all balanced out. I didn't have her come back for the MK shoot two days later - I just kinda fudged it on my own, which turned out OK because most of our MK pictures were shot from so far away you can't even distinguish our facial features! :rotfl:

Thank you again. I know Wedding/VR Planning seems more difficult with kids in the picture. Better ask ahead of time to make alternate plans for him while we're busy planning(and luckily my mom is a close drive away to spend some time with him). Plus what kid wouldn't want to spend time having fun in the park with a Grandma that he doesn't see all the time?

Thank you for the advice on having the E- session at the resorts. I love that idea since there are still plenty of locations to get Cinderella's Castle inte Background.

Thank you for letting me know about the hair. Wow 3 hours, that is a long time, but Im sure with it. She certainly seems like she was worth the money after seeing the pictures in your Siggy Pics. Note to self, recommend time to DH to have fun with DS while I have trial hair and make up run.

I really appreciate all of your help.
