How much spending $$?

DH and I aren't really big spenders when we go on trips, we'll get a few things here and there, but not too much. We're on the DDP for the first two nights and the DxDDP for the next three nights, so food is relatively covered minus our tips and any drinks we indulge in.

What would be a good estimate for two people, 5 nights, in terms of spending money? I spoke to a friend and she said for a family of four on the DDP, on a budget, they spent maybe $300 total.

I think $300 - $500. Food is always our biggest expense and you have that covered so it just depends on if you are ones to buy souvinears and or sweatshirts. Have a wonderful trip.

i would say $100 a day. maybe less, depends how many toys you want to buy i suppose

We're not big spenders on vacation either--figured we've spent enough just to get there! We don't buy souvenirs that just gather dust in the corner when you get home. I'd agree that $300 for two adults, since food is already taken care of, will be enough.

It depends on how many alcoholic beverages you consume

This alone can kill my budget!! Fortunately DH only has a cocktail now and again. I, on the other hand, can do some damage! Hey, I'm on vacation and whats laying on a lounge chair without the most tasty mai tai's in the land from Hurricane Hannahs???

That said, we probably spend about $800 for 7 days for the 3 of us (DH, DD7 and I).

My DH, DD (3 1/2 at the time) and I went in September for the FDDP. We're not much for souvenirs except for ornaments and we just bought a couple small things for our DD. We did however enjoy a libation or two at the parks and with dinner.
Over the 2 week period, we spent about 1100.00.

thanks for the suggestions, all. it's always such an individual decision, but having some input helps me gauge. i hate to run short, but for me, i also tend to spend what i have. so in the interest of not coming home to an empty bank account, i try to figure out a reasonable amount ahead of time and stick to it. lol
