I am down to 4 weeks now and am really excited, but nervous that I will not be enough prepared for our trip.

So, how much spending money do you plan for? Money that is NOT for meals, hotel or tickets. I'm thinking drinks, special snacks, ice cream, Downtown Disney, souveniers, etc. We will be there 6 days.

Also, do you get half in travelers checks and the other half cash or what? Can you tell I'm stressing just a little??:rotfl: Thanks!

MOney was a little tighter this trip than I planned. DS16 and I are taking about $100 per day for everything. Most of that will go for food (breakfast in the room and some snacks from home also, refillable mugs, CS for lunch and for some suppers). Whatever is left over, if any, will go for souveniers. I think I brought about this much 2 years ago and we had plenty.

Thank you so much! That gives me a good idea of what to expect.

we budgeted $175/day last year (family of 4), but that included meals. Most days we were under budget -- but we went over a few days when we had either big shopping trips or big meals.

This year, we're budgeting $200/day, but I'm really hoping to stay closer to $150.

We take a few hundred in cash, but use our credit card for most purchases so we're not dealing with change. We just pay it off when we get home. We've also used our debit card instead of cash in the past too.

HAVE FUN!!!

We are probably only bringing a couple hundred in cash and plan to do the rest on the debit/credit card or other cards. We'll also have some disney reward $'s and another gift card from the bank for spending points accrued. We'll probably budget $100 a day for alcohol drinks during meals (we are on a meal plan so food is more than covered), souvenirs, taxis and such. But in reality, we'll probably spend less than that $100.

Last year we budgeted $1000 for 6 days (2 adults, 1 child, 1 toddler)Thankfully we came home with $200. We took $400 in cash and charged $400 to the room. This year we are going for 10 days and although we bought into the dining plan, we will budget for $200 per day. I know it's alot, but I don't want to be keeping track the whole trip. I highly doubt we will spend that much. But one nevers knows...;)
