How much spending money do you take?

We were doing fine until The Gurgling Suitcase started making these awesome frozen vodka cranberry concotions for me!!! We (6 of us) went from about $150 a day to $175!!!!!

We eat in the room a lot - one character meal and always always a meal at the 50s Prime Time. LUnch is usually at the park or pool.. rarely in the room.

Every year I think we need no more souveniers, but yet.....

We spent more on our Dec trip because we buy Christmas presents for friends and family. We never set a limit but that doesn't mean we spend like drunken sailors either. We've just gotten very good at knowing where the bargains are, we have simple tastes and eliminated most of the alcohol from our diets. We use AP's so when they're averaged out over 3 trips are park media expense is very reasonable per trip. We carry very little cash except during F&W.

I guess if I add up the annual total, including travel expenses (we drive), AP's, MVMCP, mini golf, food, gifts, etc...........$4000.00 for three annual trips.

I hate putting this on paper, its just shows me how much dvc "saves" me each year LOL
there is 5 of us (3 teenage boys)
breakfast in room
10.00 per person/park day for lunch $ 50.00
5.00 per person for drinks/snacks/park day $ 25.00
25.00 per person/day for dinner $125.00

I budget 200.00/day for food, Kids bring there own spending money for arcade or sovnrs. I purchase one item of clothing for each of us so thats about $125.00 to 150.00 per trip. Spend around 120.00 at the grocery store each trip also.

Average trip is 6 days $1200.00 & 120.00 & 150.00 so thats about $1500.00 each trip.

Try to go three times a year. Fly Southwest so tickets average 120.00 to 170.00 per person/round trip. ( we have earned a few free trips, used 1 1/2 last dec and will us 1 1/2 in our upcoming april trip)

I have a seperate savings account were money is automaticly deducted from my checking acct each week. This is exclusively for our wdw trips. I us my disney visa card as much as posible on vaca to get points which i used last year for my ap. When the bill comes in i pay it off. I figure if the time comes when i have a balance on my charge card for a vacation, then its time to take a break. Hoping that day NEVER comes.
