Hi! My girls are heading to Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags for the day...their friend has free passes for them. They will eat lunch before they go. How much $$ do you think they each need for the afternoon for drinks, snacks, etc. Just curious because unfortunately they will spend what I give them and I don't want to break the bank! Just looking for an idea of the cost of drinks, etc. there...

Thanks!

Food and drinks are outrageously expensive at Six Flags. Souvenirs are, too. How old are your girls? I'd say between $10-20 each, since they're eating before hand. If they'll be eating supper there, I'd probably go with $20, because even a burger and drink will set them back $10 each.

Thanks...I was thinking $20 each (they're 10 and 12) and giving it to the older one to deal with because the younger one would go through it in 10 minutes! The family they are going with does usually spoil their kids rotten and let them have whatever they want, so I'll have to be firm with my kiddos. Thanks!

Food is more expensive at Great Adventure than WDW, IMO. I paid $8 for a chicken cheesesteak. DD and DH each had a slice of pizza and their bill was probably close to $14 with a large drink that we shared. We didn't shop for souvies, didn't need or want anything.

DD11 went with friends recently, she brought 20$ for spending money/lunch and came back with 5. They all bought those sweet fried things with powdered sugar, & a refillable drink. Friend's mom brought lunches with.

For food alone I woudn't send less than $20 each. A burger, fries, and a Coke will be over $10. If they want something else to drink that's another $3.00.

A water is 3.50, sodas are 4 dollars. I but the refillable souvenir cup for 8.99 and refillas are .99 all summer long Might be an idea for them to split it. Just with the price of one drink a piece it is worth it for them. Food is real expensive. It is like 8 bucks for a burger. Hotdogs 3.50 or 4.

$20 a piece should be good tell them to not waste it on the games. The games are like 3 bucks a piece.
