How much sleep do you need?

I used to feel best when I got 7 hours. That hasn't happened in over 10 years. Now I sleep 3-4 hours a night. Five hours is usual on a weekend. On rare occasions when I sleep in, it's 6. :rolleyes:
 
I usually get 6 - 6 1/2 hrs. of sleep a night, but it isn't enough. I know I need more, and if I can catch a nap, it really helps. Love my coffee....:) :)
 
I love to get 8 or 9 hours of sleep. But I usually get between 5 and 7. If I get less than 5, I'm about braindead.
 
I love to sleep! I usually get 8 hours, but if I could sleep as long as I wanted it would probably be 10 hours a night. Saturday it rained all day here and I barely got out of bed. I would just watch TV for a while, then take a nap, read for a while, then nap. I never thought I’d be able to sleep that night, but I slept right through. I probably wear myself out while I'm sleeping because I dream so much. In fact last night I had a dream that involved DISsers!
 

I use to get away with 5 to 5 1/2 hours, like only a year or so ago. Lately I have been needing more like 7 1/2 to 8 to feel as if I rested.
 
It really depends on my situation. I need at least 6 hours or so to function properly, but my body can get used to sleeping however much i, or my schedule, will allow. I love sleep. I have a nice bed with a comfy down comforter...ah, sleep. I kind of need some right now, but there is so much more i could be doing.:D
 
I usually get around 5-6 hours of sleep a night. I usually end up going to bed around 2 or 3 AM and wake up at around 8. I try to get a 10 minute nap around 7 PM or so and am usually fine all day.

If I get between 6-8 hours of sleep I am out of it all day. More than 8 and I am fine also.
 
5, but i can do less if i can nap for an hour or two.
 
I need about 7-8 hours. I get about 6-7 hours a night. I don't function well on 5 or less.
 
Minimum 4 hours.... like to get 6-8...anything more than 9 and I seem to wake up feeling more tired than before I went to bed.
 
I LOVE sleep :) I think sleep is a gift from above...

I am not sure how many hours I really need since I am doing the unemployement dance and my entire schedule has changed.

Oh, I do know that I HATE mornings :) I would love to always sleep until about 8am- whether going to bed at 10pm or 2am:)
 
It is strange... If I go to bed at 12 I wake up at 6:30 If I go to bed at 9 I wake up at 6:30. I try to sleep in some times but can't. I have found that I work best on 8 hours so I try to get that...
 
hours if not 8!!! But if I go to bed late - I still get up at 5:30 or 6!!:rolleyes: :rolleyes:
 
I usually need 6-8 but only get about 3-5 lately
 
not much and Cordelia and Doyle(my furbabies) sleep with me too(bad cat mommy:) )
 
I have to have 8. I'm another one with an internal alarm clock. It doesn't matter what time I'm in bed, I'm wide awake at 6 am...with or without 8 hours. If I don't get my eight hours, I'm pretty useless.
 
I usually get about 5 hours. I usually do fine with that, but I sometimes take a nap.
 
I usually get 5-6 a night and do okay with that. :)

They say that you need less as you get older....at this rate I'll be just taking a catnap when I get really old! :)
