How Much Room is there in the DLH Refrigerators?

Okay I need some help from DLH vets...We are getting in the day before the rest of our group (Sunday) & we are planning on having groceries delivered to us on that day, but my brother just updated the grocery list and I'm not sure there is enough room in one hotel room refrigerator to hold everything:

2 Gallons of milk
1 Quart of milk (nope, mom can't have 2%, has to have her non-fat!)
4 Lunchables
1 pack of uncrustables (that can be unpackaged & put in the freezer section)
6-pack of single serve OJ

Will this all fit? Or are we better off getting a Monday delivery when the rest of the group is there so we can split the cold stuff among the three rooms?

Thanks!!

I have never stayed a t the DLR but my guess is that you will not be able to fit 2 1/2 gallons of milk in the mini frig.:goodvibes

Wait. There is no way that will all fit. They are pretty small. If I remember correctly, our take out box had to sit sideways beacuse it isn't very deep.

Yeah, I agree, that wont fit. We went in Sept, and the fridges are just dorm size, they are located inside the armoire. I would buy 3 half gallons, they would have to lay on their sides. If you are driving, I recommend taking a cooler, that's what we did. Kept juice, soda, milk in that, so it freed up some space.

We aren't driving.....I guess we'll have to schedule the delivery for the day they arrive so we can split the order up among the 3 rooms & figure out breakfast on our own that first morning. Thank you!!

Yes, it is pretty small. We also had to turn take-out containers sideways. It was good for holding bottled water, beer and wine :)

Would a gallon of milk fit in it? I'm starting to worry about that!

nope. I just logged on to tell you that. A few half gallons MIGHT fit if laid on their side.

I wonder if you could call the DLH and get measurements???

Okay, I just spoke to my brother & it is actually 2 HALF gallons of milk + the extra quart for mom & the 4 lunchables, the uncrustables, and the OJ....any chance of that fitting in one fridge? Or are we still better off with the later delivery so we can use the fridges in the other rooms?

HI-
I had the kids order milk every time we ate at counter service or sit down restaurants. Milk in our fridge was pretty much for cereal.
I always order the quart size of milk, they fit nicely on the door.
The half gallons will take up almost all of your fridge space. Get more milk as needed at Whitewater snacks.

My fridge contents are usually:
1 quart milk
1 pint half and half (coffee)
gogurts in the freezer
lunch meat
cheese slices
small mustard
small mayo
cream cheese for bagels
3 water bottles in the freezer
half gallon of OJ

Good Luck!

If you have other people coming later and it does not all fit, you could always just stick a gallon of milk in an ice bucket and ice it down. Or you could even use the bathroom sink and fill it with ice and then transfer to the other refrigerators once the rest of your party arrives. :)

That is what I was talking about with my husband yesterday on our walk (breaking in those new sandals!) We can also dump a bunch of ice in one of the sinks (supposedly there are two) and maybe keep the OJ in there.
