How much really for towncars??

For the life of me I cannot find this post from today. Someone was asking about towncar services and someone replied with all of the extra costs not quoted on their sites.

Anyway, can someone shed some light on this? As far as my budget was going it was going to be $85 for the towncar service and a $10 tip to each driver.

The something extras had to do with resort and airport and some other fees? So, can anyone tell me how much it is really going to cost me with this service?

Oh, one last question. Southwest is pretty punctual on their arrival times. Has anyone ever been denied a grocery stop because your flight was late? I am going to make sure I ask for one when I make the ressies, but it would be a real problem if we could not a stop.

There are no hidden fees. The MK resorts are assessed a 9.00 fee to drop people off. Most town cars list this and make it very clear. You will notice that the Contemp. has a higher fee than Port Orleans.

Take your time and read the sites before you book.

Florida Tours, for instance, is VERY explicit on what the charges are.

I will make sure I thouroughly read the sites. I just wanted to make sure the info was published up front. I understand the resort fee is not imposed by the car companies, but rather by Disney.

Do you know if this resort fee is for the first dropoff/pickup of the day, or is it for every ride?

It is assessed for every ride. Correct, Disney imposes the fee, just like the airport imposes a fee for rental car shuttle busses and those that have concessions inside the airport.
The only company exempt from this assessment is Mears, which just happens to be the official shuttle of WDW.
