It is 26 days until we embark on our trip to Disney for Thanksgiving. We have been excited for trips before, but this trip.....RIDICULOUS EXCITEMENT!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Do you ever just "need" some Disney magic? Well, we NEED Disney magic right now! 2013 has resulted in the following things for my family: Appendicitis for my 2nd daughter (where the surgeon told us to prepare ourselves bc she might not make it), surgery for my 2nd daughter, major surgery for myself which resulted in a 2 week hospital stay, which, I am finally almost healed from! The passing of my FIL, as well as finding out my 3rd daughter needs therapy. Here is the deal though, we aren't sad, depressed, whoa is me people, we are happy, happy, happy here! :):):):):)

And beyond happy to spend this time together as a family and squeeze as much Disney time into a week that we can possible fit!

The cast:
Me: wife, mother of 4 girls, teacher, travel agent, runner, and the planner!
DH: husband, saint of 4 girls, sales person, and the "yes dear" of the family
8 year old princess: reserved, but lets loose at Disney!
4 year old princess: PRINCESS DIVA!
3 year old princess: In to everything
baby princess: 10 months at time of travel, and already on her 2nd Disney trip (her first was at 5 weeks! Lucky little girl!)

When: November 23-30, 2013, Thanksgiving Week!

Where: Caribbean Beach Resort (first time at this resort)

Saturday: 11/23: Arrival Day/BBB/MK/Chef Mickey's for dinner
Sunday: 11/24: HS/Captain's Grill for lunch
Monday: 11/25: MK/The Wave for lunch
Tuesday: 11/26: Off day/touring GFV (hoping to add on to DVC this year!)
Wednesday: 11/27: MK/LTT for lunch
Thursday: 11/28: AK/ Rain Forest Cafe for lunch
Friday: 11/29: Epcot/San Angel for lunch/ Candle Light Processional
Saturday: 11/30/: MK/ Departure for home

I just have to add, my 3 year old heard me say, "how much PD is it possible to get a week?" But, that translated to "How much PD can we possible get." So, the name of this was born! :lovestruc

My perfect trip to Disney is 10 days. We have been on one 10 day trip, and it was sheer perfection. However, that is not realistic for us very often, so, it is normally one week at a time. Being a teacher, I am stuck to all the most expensive, and most crowded time periods to travel each year.

So, Thanksgiving here we are. We are heading down for a week in July, but, then again the week after Christmas 2014 (gasp!) Something I said I would never do. Anyway, back to this current trip.

So, we want as much time as possible at Disney, so, we are trying something different this trip.

We live about 2 hours north of Atlanta. So, we drive. we flew one time, and it took us about 2.5 hours less to fly than to drive when it was all said and done. Not to mention, a LOT more expensive.

Here is the plan:

Get off work at 3:30pm, and drive home (about 30 mins.). DH is leaving work early, and meeting me at the house by 4pm. We are hoping to be pulling out of the driveway no later than 5pm. And here is the kicker......we would normally drive to Valdosta about 6 hours away and spend the night. Not this time. We are driving straight through!!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:If you are laughing at me right about now, well, join in. I hate the car! :furious: However, I decided with a then 10 month old, that dragging her in and out of the car a million times would be a pain, so, I am praying for sleep for her. We average stopping to potty for the girls about once every two hours, so, again, we are hoping that they will sleep for alot of the trip, and we can skip some of those stops. We are also planning to eat fast food in the car (something we never do) to try to save some time.

I reserved, and paid for our room at All-Star Movies for that night, in hopes we will be there sometime around 3am.

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but, I am crossing my fingers that it does. We can actually make it to Orlando on one tank of gas (we have a Suburban), with about 30-40 miles left in the tank, so, we are really hoping for minimal stops.

All-Star Music here we come!!!!!!
