With just over 24 hours left till christmas, how is everyone doing on their to-do lists? Here's what I've got left to do.

1. make cookies for santa with DD's
2. Make muffins for early breakfast christmas morning
3. wrap DD7's helmet, key and video in seperate boxes..(these are still at DH's store he'll bring them home tomorrow)
4. drop off bag of personal care products at the local drop in center
5. re-arrange a few small pieces of furniture for the gifts.(after kids are in bed tomorrow)..

So everyone, how are you doing??? Just think, in 48 hours it will all be over..

All I still have to do is carve the turkey & ham & then put everything in the car in the morning & head to my Mum's.

BTW.............It's only 9 1/2 hrs till Christmas Day for me............

;)

I have not made any Christmas cookies yet. Don't think I will. I think I am making "after Christmas cookies" this year!

After Christmas cookies are the best! I think I am pretty much ready. Fruit tray - done, Veggie tray -done, cookies baked, cake baked, gifts wrapped, roast ready to go in oven. My family will be here at 2 so I hope everything is ready. Most likely should vaccume one more time but won't stress about it. I am enjoying the quiet right now!:D

As of 12pm it is my birthday, and I'll probably be shopping all day today for christmas presents. :( I can already tell it's going to be a bad day.

tricia.

No oven, no christmas cookies... The oven has been dead since November 7th!

(BTW new oven is supposed to come on Dec. 30th)

bought batteries, got desert for Christmas dinner, so we are done!

Just about everything is done. Some last minute cooking for tonight and were off to BIL for Chrstmas Eve.

Granddaughters will be here this morning for their first gift. I always purchase a party dress for Christmas Eve.

Also need to get a few desserts put together for tomorrow.

<center>MERRY CHRISTMAS

1) Finish stitching silk gauze pattern for mom's present (yay, done tonight) (btw: silk gauze is related to cross stitch and needlepoint)

2) Finish stitching dad's blackwork design. Um. Not gonna happen. We get together with them tomorrow -- err... later today. (Eve) The pattern's not even half stitched. It took a month to get that far. LOL! Oh well... I've given my mom partially-completed presents before, so I guess I can do the same for my dad. :D

3) Finish decorating tree. Um. Not gonna happen before Christmas this year. LOL! Dunno if we'll bother *after* Christmas just to get pictures of the kitties and the tree. I think I used up 2 years of decorating enthusiasm last year.

4) Finish designing present for best friends. Almost there, but when asked whether they wanted me to email "it" to them Christmas day or wait until they got back, they said whatever "it" was, wait until they get back. So I get some breathing room there. LOL!

5) Wrap presents. Um. Anyone know where the boxes are that I can put these things in so I can wrap them? LOL!! At least I have wrapping paper...

6) Sleep. Probably a good idea. And I think I'm heading that way now.

Good luck everyone! :D

I got it all done. I think that's why I'm so tired.

I got all the shopping and wrapping done, house cleaned, grocery shopping done, made 10 different kinds of Christmas cookies, and baked 40 big nut rolls.
Same as I do every year.

Then I did my mom's shopping for her. She can't do it anymore.

I finally finished the gift shopping at 11:30pm last night. Today I have to grocery shop, clean the house, do a little baking, find the stockings & wrap all the gifts. I also have to get my ds to the Dr (throat culture was done yesterday so we will see the Dr. today). How many hours do I have left?? Uh oh, I don't think there is enough time.

I'm not doing too bad. 7 weeks ago I had a week off work and got all my presents and wrapped them all then - I do it then every year as I don't have time nearer Christmas (and yes I know I am anoying for doing this, my work mates tease me about it every year and say they will do the same next year, but never do!)
I have the turkeys out defrosting and will cook them overnight. The decorations have been up for 2 weeks so that is sorted. All I have left to do now is finish the washing, put the clean sheets on the beds for family who are staying over, set the table (I'll probably do that tomorrow morning as the table extension takes up too much space anyway) then I'll have another quick dust and hoover around the house, again I will do this tomorrow before the family arrive.
My next job is to clean out my rabbits cage and then I am done for the day.

I'm so glad I don't have kids at this time of year. How do you cope??

Merry Christmas everyone.

Ditto on Mom's shopping, Sandi! :)

I'm cooking the big, pale, poultry today. I need to get him in the oven this morning.

Presents are all wrapped, all 56 of them (not mine!! lol)! :)

I only have two things left to do..

Cook for tonight - but that's "iffy" at this point because my DD is having that impacted tooth removed this morning instead of yesterday and I'm thinking she may not feel up to coming over here afterall.. That's all the company we were having - my DD, her DH, and my granddaughter - so there may be no festivities here at all..

And a little later on I have to bring my Mom's gifts to her and visit a bit..

Other than that, I'm done... And it's a good thing, cause quite frankly, I'm not feeling so good...... Hope it's not the start of the flu!

I have to bake a batch of cookies with my DS's for Santa and wrap the stocking stuffers. Other than that, i am done!

I went grocery shopping and "last minute" shopping yesterday morning, was home by noon. :)

Today I just have a couple small "cleaning things" to get done, a few gifts yet to wrap and start working on the food for tomorrow.

I have everything listed out, and have been crossing things off as I go and the list is getting very small now. :teeth:

We're going to church tonight, then DD is coming down to help me with some of the food and I'll finish up in the morning before everyone gets here...I'm really looking forward to tomorrow, with the whole family here for the day. I've been very busy counting my blessings, I know I have been blessed so much and I'm so very thankful. :)

Well I just had my bath and just had to take a quick peak on the boards;) I spent all last last night cleaning, cleaning cleaning! lol:p And now I'm off to make 5 pies for the "great feast" tomorrow.:teeth:

Everythings wrapped and under the tree and I can't wait to just sit down and take a breather with a nice glass of wine this afternoon with my best friend and then we're off visiting for the evening.:D

Happy holidays to you all!::MickeyMo

Well, I never did finish addressing Christmas cards. I will have to sit down after the holidays and send out a few notes.
I still have to frost a few cookies & make a waldorf salad. I'm gonna run by Costco as soon as they open this AM to buy the cut-up fruit, breakfast rolls & dinner rolls. Safeway has a better price on the shrimp trays, so I'll stop there too.
All the presents are wrapped - whew!
I'm taking the kids & my DM out to lunch, then off to 4 PM Mass (gotta get there EARLY to get a seat!)

Merry Christmas to all!

(Happy Birthday Battricia!)

Just need to cook dinner tonight. :)

We are having Roast Chicken, stuffing, green bean casserole, and potatoes.

DH and DD are going to the grocery store for more batteries and milk. I didn't realize that DD's new kitchen took 12! :earseek:

I am actually ahead of schedule:D DH and the 2 younger kids offered to wrap presents, so all I have left to do are the stockings. I still need to set the table for tomorrow, but I have to wait or our cat, "devil boy", will be all over the table. Happy holidays to all of you:D
