Just curious, if you had to guesstimate how much of your money Disney has "earned" from you over the years, how much would that be?

I would say $2500 x at least 15 trips =37500 + 3 Ellenshaw's at about 1500 each =42000 + 32 WDCC pieces at about 200 each = 48000 + movies over the years (let's round that to an even grand...)

Ballpark I would have to say they have made about 50G's off me.

I cant say I regret a dollar of that though.

What about you?

:confused3 I'll have to give it some thought and calculating and get back to you.... :sunny:
Looking forward to it. Just neat to think about you know...

My beautiful wife and I didnt "truly" discover Disney until 1989, took a three year hiatus (we were still dating) and then starting in 92 we really got into it.

Well, according to the Disney annual report, theme parks and resorts had an increase of 16% last year bringing the total up to $19 billion. That's quite a bit of Disney travel.

No idea. But it seems I'm always willing to give them a little more.

Oh my heck, I can't even begin to imagine!! I grew up about 45 minutes from Disneyland so we went there multiple times a year all through my life. We even had APs there for awhile. Plus all the Disney store stuff over the years and the 3 trips to WDW. It's kinda mind boggling to think about. Why did you make me?!! :teeth:

But the memories I have from all those times are truly priceless so it was money well spent. :cloud9:

And FYI they will continue to get money out of me until the day I die. :thumbsup2

Oh, this is so scary!! We've been countless times - honestly, I don't know how many times. We live close, so we make weekend trips often! So, I'm estimating an easy $30-$40,000 on trips. Probably another $5000 at Disney Direct buying clothes and toys for the kids. Videos, DVDs, movies at the theatre - let's say $1000. Gosh, as I'm typing this - I look up - Ariel kleenex box sitting on the counter - so no telling what all kinds of things I've forgotten.

So when did you move from Cali and why?

A vast majority of my disposable income over my lifetime has gone to the Walt Disney Company in one form or another. Of course, I am a stockholder, so I can justify it as "reinvesting in the Company"... :teeth:

On the other hand, Disney has indeed 'earned' most every dollar it has gotten from me, as opposed to other amusement parks or entertainment companies that have 'ripped me off' for some bucks now and again!

I'm not sure heck just this week alone was enough .

But if DW ever found out the total and really thought about it I'd be cut off for sure.

Don't answer this question.... it could be used against you someday!

We moved to MI in August of 2004. I have alot of family out here and my grandparents gave us two and a half acres of property to put a house on. With a family of 6 (4 kids) there was no way we could afford a 4 or 5 bedroom house in the L.A. area. Heck some doctors and lawyers can't afford that and we only have one income because I am a SAHM. All boils down to the money. And it is beautiful here. And good for the kids. They have alot of land now compared to our tiny 2 bedroom apt! I'm the only miserable one. Well, not miserable, just homesick. :guilty: And I could do without the snow!!! :teeth:

Okay, back to Disney and how they have sent most of us to near bankruptcy! :rotfl2:

I am scared to calculate it!

We bought DVC because we thought it would save us money...but we end up just adding another week to our vacation at a regular resort. :confused3

Every trip costs more as we find more things to do at WDW that are NOT included in the park tickets, such as the Segway tours, boat rentals, spa services, Cirque, etc.

The good thing...I just figured out our taxes and we are getting over $3000 back! Sounds like another trip is in the future!

Way too much...I went as a kid in the 70's & 80's with family or Friends... grew up in Tampa. DH and I have been going since the yr we met 91 and I don't think there is a yr we haven't gone at least once and we haven't lived in the area since 94...many years we have gone twice.

So just for fun...yearly trips since 91 so that is 15 and being conservative we will say $3K each....uh that is $45K. Plus in 2002 I know we went 3 times one of which was DD's 5th Bday at the Sandcastle Club...so I guess 50K would be a fair guess. Do I need to include our trips to DLP?? LOL

The one thig I would have to say though is that we have never had a bad WDW trip! :cheer2:
