We are leaving in the am for a 11 day vacation to the world. We are doing a package with dining. It is me, DH, DD(6) and DD(3)! We have princess dresses, light chasers and glow sticks, snacks in suitcase all to themselves. I just do not know how much extra we will really need!!!! Anyone have a guess?? Thank you so much!!!

If your ok with carrying around & using credit cards I would try to bring as little cash as possible. You wont have to worry about loosing it or someone stealing it
I would factor about $50-$100 a day if you dont want to use credit cards since you have the meal plan
Do you have an atm??
Bring it with just in case.
Its always better to have more than not enough
:goodvibes

I leave my money home in the bank and make withdrawals as necessary at the ATM. That way I know what I have for my "Disney stash" and I don't have to worry about keeping it safe. I just don't like to travel with a lot of cash. Since most places take your debit card like cash I user it throughout the parks. :thumbsup2

We are going tomorrow morning for a week. We are taking $300 cash but we will also have credit carfds if we need them. I am so worried about loosing the cash so I wanted to keep it small but honestly I doubt we will need anything more then the $300. We are on the Dining plan, we are taking the light chasers, we are taking cereal and snacks, we are taking just about everything! lol so i am not sure what we would spend a ton one. Each of the kids have disney $ so they will pick out what they want with that and then we will get them some other stuff i am sure but really, outside of milk and drinks, i do not think we will really spent a ton of money! Hope I am right so I can start saving for our next trip tot he world!

We are leaving in a couple of months for 11 days and we are also on the dining plan. My DD will have some Disney dollars from Valentine's day and Easter from us and my parents. So I think we are bringing around 300.00 also we go to Disney every years so we only spend around 150.00 each on souviners t-shirt/sweatshirt a few odds and ends.

I think around $300 should be perfect. Have a great vacation!!:)

Ok gotta ask, whats a "light chaser" am I missing out :rotfl: We leave in 8 days :woohoo: and Im hoping since we are only going for 7 days and are on the dp that we wont need too much extra money. I do have $150 in Disney dollars for my kids and $30 reward card, so Im only planning on bringing $200 extra and Im hoping that will be plenty. I can also us my debit card while on the trip, if needed.

:cloud9: :cool1: Light chasers are those spinning things you see at the parades I bought mine off the disney shopping website for around 5.00 when they were having a sale so I would not have to fork out 17.00 when we are at the parades. They are 6.99 right now just go to the site and search lightchaser.I also picked up a ton of glow sticks, necklaces eyeglasses at the dollar store so my kids will have new ones for every night at the parks!!!! 2 hours and counting!!!! :rotfl: :cool1:  :yay: :cheer2: :woohoo:

Is the disney shopping website, the disney store or something else?

They have eight different ones on the www.disneyshopping.com website.

I always just buy new chasers when we go...the kids love them.

As for the amount of money to bring...WOW...I can't even imagine only bringing $300. We got at least once a year and we save anywhere between $2000-3000 for purchases (obviously not all in cash)...I have $2000 put away so far for our trip in October where we will be on the dining plan. I guess when we go to Disney it isn't about saying NO...we buy the kids whatever they want...and my DH buys every pin under the sun. But everyone does it their own way.
