i hve not yet discussed this matters with my EM, as i don't know if i can afford that.
how much did you pay to view the illumination, including transportation fee, park entrance, and some foods (maybe a cake, some soda, chocolate)
and how long does it take from getting into epcot to leaving the park?
number of guests: 30-40
how is the view in italy?
is it good?
*********************************
also how much is a fantasmic?
which one you like better ?
how is the viewing area ?
will that be too far?
is it possible to have an area in MK to watch the firework?
and the cost

thank you so much for ur patience in reading my post

Illuminations Viewing Fee is $12.50 per person

You have to pay for a hostess per 45 people you have at $90.00

The dessert packages start at $17.50 per person and include coffee, water and lemonade.

If you decided to have tables and chairs set up then there is an additional fee of $75.00

These prices do not include tax and gratuity.

thanks for your reply
if i calcultate it right
it will be around 665$+tax
12.50 x 40ppl ---500
+ 90.00+75.00
am i right?

Yup

But remember you don't always need the tables and chairs. Also if any of your guests have passes that they don't mind using for the entrance (e.g. a lot of our guests had Length of stay passes or Annual Passes or decided to use their hopper to go to Epcot after our wedding reception anyway) then you won't have to pay the viewing fee for them.

Also the $17.50 may have increased since I was last quoted.

We actually ended up going for the dessert package of "minatures from around the world" and substituted some of the desserts for Tuxedo Strawberries at an upgrade price and it was $24.00 per person

HI SAM
thanks again for your quick reply
i don't even know if i can spend 665 for an illumination, as our budget is quite tight.
do you know how long does the illumination party last? can they stay after or before the party? or we will have to pay additional charge for extra hour?
and do you have to have special transportation or you enter from the main entrance?
thanks a lot

No you don't have to have transportation but it will certainly help to get all the people there at the same time if you are coming from say the Grand Floridian.

We all met at the International Gateway entrance at 8.15 - those with tickets waited inside by the shop with my husband whilst I waited outside with our hostess for those without admission.

We were then taken altogether to the location. Where we chatted and nibbled then the fireworks started at 9.00 is it but we didn't leave the area until around 10ish.

If your guests go in before then they'll have to use their own park admission.

ic
and do you have to walk all the way from the main entrance to italy? since i am really not used to the high heel, and i am short therefore i need to war high heels.
i can't imagine how can i walk for this long distance... espcially with the heavy wedding dress

You will have to walk as the Friendship boats that take you across the Lagoon in Epcot will have stopped running I think.

International Gateway entrance would be a lot nearer for you but I don't know how convenient as you'd havr to get transport to the Beach Club and then walk from there to the Gateway.

thanks sam
i like your illumination pic the one with firework
it is so pretty
did you use DPS?
and i also also planning to have chip, dale and of course mickey and minnie
you looks so sweet

Can you have alcohol served?
also could i have a desert party for just 8 of us? If i can, what locations would be best for a small group?

Thanks

Sam

Yes you can have alcohol - woo-hoo !!! :p

Now I am led to believe that the minimum for a dessert party is 20 people so as long as you are prepared to pay the minimum cost heck you could just have the party for the two of you.

You need to get in touch with either your Event Manager if you are having a Custom Wedding or Epcot Conventions direct if you are having an off-site wedding or Intimate wedding or perhaps you'r enot having a wedding at all but just fancy throwing the party.

we're having our illuminations party in the UK. i love illuminations. it's one of my favorite fireworks shows down in WDW. we already have the party booked and selected a menu that is costing us, i think, $22.50 a person. but the menu does have delicious desserts to offer. i don't have the menu with me right now but my mouth is watering at the thought of what's going to be served.

They are all scrummy I couldn't help but share a few piccies of our ones - we paid extra for the strawberries.

At the time of my wedding it was as well 12.50 pp to enter the park if they did not have passes. I had 25 guest so the total with tax for that was 332.81
I only needed 1 event hostess so that was a fee of 90.00

My Illuminations Desert Choice was the West Palm Beach at 22.50 pp x 25 =562.50

I have 4 Bottles of Fairy tale Cuvee Champagne at 50.00 bottle for a total of 200.00

Set up fee for table and chairs was 75.00.
They add on a service charge to the bill afterwards which was 152.50
and tax on those items was 64.36

So the total cost for my Illuminations party was 1,477.14.

You can decrease this price alot by deleting alot of the unessary things.

My guest stayed at the Yacht Club so there was no need for transportation. We had a guide walk us over to the lower UK. This is one way to save $$$$

If you guest have guest with passes have them use them. We did have passes and I just forgot to mention it to my guest so I just ended up paying the fee, but if you are on a budget make sure you tell your event manager they have passes so please deduct that price total.

You dont need to get the largest dessert selection. I found that after the reception food and cake that my guest were quite full and alot of the desserts actual were untouched, however we did manage to finish off every bottle of Champagne.

Also the seating is not nessary if you feel it must be deleted from the budget. Most of my guest stood at the railing watching the Illuminations show and at the lower UK there is 2-3 benches in case there is elderly guest.

All in all this was a very magical moment for me and my husband and was well worth every single little red penny.

This might be a dumb question but was your illuminations party after the wedding? Or on a different day? See I am dying to walk through the park in my gown, it is like a strange dream that I have and I would like to try and do it after our wedding, which I belive ends at around 8. is this a possibility???/

You can definatley wear your dress in Epcot for your Illuminations party. I had my Party right after my wedding on my wedding day and I'll tell you I FELT SOOOO SPECIAL!!! As I walked over to Epcot from the back of the Yacht Club into the Park everyone walking by made comments. One little girl ran up to me and kept saying as she was running to me, "PRINCESS, PRINCESS, wait, wait for me!!! I had to stop cause she would not stop running after me. I gave her a hug and her parent asked if it would be ok for her to take a picture with me. BOY DID I FEEL SOOOO SPECIAL!!!;) :teeth:

So I say have that party right after your reception and since you are having it right after your reception maybe you can cut dessert from your reception and just have cake and head over to the dessert party for the rest of dessert.
Thats what I did :teeth:

Has anyone had a fantasmic dessert party? Or happen to know the prices for it?

Thanks!
