I have read about $4 for adult and $2 for child but how to find out a little more exactly how much if I was going to run the numbers for a DDP comparison? Any info or direction would be helpful. Who got hit with holiday dining charges over Thanksgiving or Christmas?

I'm wondering this also.... is it just certain restaurants or all TS ones? In another post, someone mentioned the entire month of June - that seems a bit excessive!

We were just there over Christmas and the only increase price we encountered was at Boma (breakfast). My understanding this is only for the buffets. I didn't notice increases at TS (unless buffets) or CS. HTH

1) Let's forget about the actual dollar amount.
2) The increases are 18%-20% for Holiday Dining Surcharges.

Example: CP is $27.99 vs $32.99 for the holidays, or approx 18%.

OK, stupid question. WHY is there a price increase? Because they can? Is there any extra food over the holidays?

I just found some info on this and it is $4 per adult and $2 for child. June is TBD...........

I wish. that isn't fair but not too bad. In our case I figured it differently. For Cm breakfast it is $8 more a person same for Garden Grill lunch $8 more a person.
for 1900 Park Fare $5 more
CM dinner $6 more

Ohana breakfast as you said $4 more.

What gives???:confused3

Thanks for the heads up we are just figuring out if the DDP is for us. Any news on Askerhus B-fast and Beirgarten? Because I read somewhere that there will be an increase on all buffets?!?

I didn't see Akershus on the Dis list, but allears lists Princess Storybook as one that will increase and intercot also lists it as an increased one for Christmas. These are the prices listed for Christmas... You might want to call.. HTH!!

Akershus
This meal will include Holiday favorites as well as other selections.

Breakfast
$26.99 - ages 10 and up | $14.99 - ages 3 - 9

Lunch
$28.99 - ages 10 and up | $15.99 - ages 3 - 9

Dinner
$33.99 - ages 10 and up | $16.99 - ages 3 - 9

I see that Biergarten was increased for Thanksgiving of last year, but it looks like it was only for Thanksgiving Day.

The parks are busier, so the restaurants are in higher demand. Higher demand with fixed number of seats == higher prices.

This was buried and no one responded to what I had said. Is it true as far as breakfast for CM and also for The Garden Grill having a surcharge of $8 more a person? As another poster said $4 or maybe even $5, but some are actually $6. But $8???? I thought CM was originally !8.99 and GG 20.99. now both 26.99 like I said that is $8 more. :confused3

Garden Grille lunch normal is $20.99, Dinner $27.99

So CM's is $4, but GG is $8 for lunch & $6 for dinner :scared1:

The surcharges are the reason that 2 weeks before our Dec trip we decided to get the DDP.
