how much giftwrap ends up in landfills?

Years ago, I read an article on this and they quoted a figure about how many tons of gift wrap ends up in landfills after the holidays.........and I've forgotten. Anyone know?

Well, my parents live out in the country so burning is easier for them. Basically we have a barrel in the back that we put all the burnables in. Then we bring in recycles into town every week or two weeks. Also we drop off non-burnable garbage (things like foil from the yogurt, etc) in a bag and put it in one of the garbage cans in town.

WE burn all our paper too So none of ours goes to a landfill.

I can answer somewhat. 40% of what goes in the landfill is recycleable paper.

We do too. In fact we have three can issued to us by the Garbage place. 1 garbage, 1 green(yard) waste and 1 recycle. The garbage can is 1/2 the size of the other two.
