I live in the SF bay area and looking for airfare. Just getting an idea since most carriers are not booking June yet. The lowest I found is $1200??? Is that how much it is ? Anyone?
since, as you said, most of the carriers have not started to book june yet, it would be hard for us, who have no access to that information, to know how much it is or will be.
I am just trying to get an idea of how much people have paid in the past, especially resently to know if $1200 for airfare is typical. I realize we can't predict the future and see how much it will be. Just overplanning as usual.
I'm not sure when in June you are flying or with how many people, but both America West and Continental are booking for June. America West flights start at about $238.00 pp r/t and Continental is about $270.00 pp r/t. Since you live in San Jose, I would sit tight and perhaps wait for Southwest to open up booking for June.
I booked about six months out and paid $241.50 pp with Continental and those fares have only dropped by about $15.00 each.

Yes, San Jose is about 45 mins south of San Francisco.
I near 4 tickets and will probabgly wait for Southwest since the price seems average. I also prefer Southwest as they have a better on time record in my experience than other airlines.
If only Jet Blues prices weren't so high. I would love to watch Direct TV all the way to Florida
When we have flow in May we have never paid more than $200 RT. With United and American. Last July it was $276 RT.
United will have one stop in Denver and American in Dallas. I think Southwest typically has 2 stops - but we have never flown them on this long of a flight.
I have found that on our trips in has been cheaper to fly out of SJC than SFO.
If you take the very early flights (around 620AM) United will get you into MCO at around 330PM with a 45 minute layover in Denver; and American will get you in MCO at about 420PM with a little over an hour layover in Dallas. If you are wanting a longer layover you can get in around 5 - 530. I have seen Southwest leaving early and not getting in til after 630pm.
Once school is out for summer vacation the prices will go up compared to what we paid in May.
Regardless of who you fly - have a great trip neighbor
I'm in Southern CA and I'm not sure how much fares differ between here and Northern. I just booked with Song for $276 including all of the associated fees. The lowest I've seen so far from LAX has been $173 good through the end of February. Sign up for Fare Watcher on Travelocity which will give you an idea of what the going rate is and will help you determine what a fair price would be. I actually paid a little more than I had planned on, but I feel we still got a pretty good deal since it's a direct flight on the dates and times we wanted.
